    • Ride and dine like a local in Rome

Eat like a local on the Rome E-Bike Tour with Street Food Tastings as you follow your knowledgeable guide to some of the city's greatest gastronomic offerings. Visit squares where markets have stood for hundreds of years, the best pizza oven in the city, and the charming Trastevere district. Over the course of this day tour, you’ll sample pizza, pasta, fish sandwiches, ice cream, granita, and more. Bike rental is included in this tour, meaning you can traverse Rome's streets with the ease and convenience of an e-bike. The cost of food tastings is not, allowing you to eat as much or as little as you like.

Your electric bike tour begins with a stop at Campo de' Fiori market, a square that has remained a center of commerce and market culture since at least medieval times. Stop here and sample fresh, locally grown fruits. Ride on to Antico Forno Roscioli, considered the best pizza oven in Rome by many locals, to try a slice of street pizza. As you eat, your guide will explain the long history and thriving popularity of these street pizza stalls in Rome.

Cycle on to the Trastevere district, on the south bank of the Tiber, to discover narrow alleys and charming streets in this former working class neighborhood that retains much of its atmospheric character. Here, you'll have the opportunity to sample supplì, small rice croquettes filled with cheese and tomato sauce. Your guide will then lead you on to try Trapizzino, a pocket-shaped pizza that has all the elements of a regular pizza but is perfectly designed for eating on the go.

Cycle on to Castel Sant'Angelo and marvel at the cylindrical construction, built by the Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family, that once claimed the title of the tallest building in Rome. This also happens to be the site of some of the very finest homemade pasta in the city. Your guide will lead you to Il Pastaio for a generous portion of pasta to eat at the tables that line the pavement.

No street food tour of Rome would be complete without an ice cream, which forms the next stop on your city tour. Or, hold out for a refreshing granita at the historic Sora Mirella counter, which has been serving traditional Italian shaved ice to the residents of Rome for decades.

Stop in Piazza Trilussa for a Roman aperitivo. This tradition is found across the country, where Italians gather with friends and family for an alcoholic drink and light snacks to whet their appetite before dinner. After taking an aperitivo in true Italian style, ride on to the final stop of the bike tour at Pescaria, where you can enjoy a fresh fish sandwich made with locally caught fish. You’ll finish your tour with a full stomach and a raft of recommendations from your guide to ensure you avoid the tourist traps and continue to enjoy the very best of the city’s food during the rest of your vacation.
