Wonderful trip. Great sampling of Albanian mountains, farms and coast.
UNESCO Sites of Albania
Wonderful to start in Tirana, then see the rural part of Albania and finish on the coast. I enjoyed the stays at the organic farm and the guest house especially.
The local historical tours done at some of our stays were good for hitting the highlights of their significance. They were neither too long or too short.
The guides were fantastic. They did a nice job of allowing everyone to go at a pace that was comfortable for them. They were very patient about answering questions about Albania's history, current challenges and daily life.
The accommodations were always clean and comfortable. Some were very nice, others more humble but were always clean and functional.
The food was plentiful! They really focused on trying to serve traditional Albanian dishes particular to that region. Two nights we were free to eat at local restaurants so those who wanted to get a pizza or non-Albanian food could do so then.
I feel the level of difficulty was accurately described. Unless you are an experienced cyclist you would not want to do this without an e-bike. There were several people who did not ride much and did just fine on e-bikes. For those on regular bikes (non e-bikes) it was a manageable ride. There was always a break in the morning for coffee, then again for lunch and then finishing the ride. This really helped make the rides manageable.
I consider myself a moderate rider typically doing 50 miles per week with about 3000-4000 elevation gain total. So this tour was a moderate challenge but very doable.
My wife and I had previously done only DIY trips and this was our first supported, guided experience. It was nice to not worry about navigation, where to stay or where to eat. All in all, it was a wonderful trip that I would recommend highly.- What was the date of your tour?

Excellent Tour
Cycling the West Balkan Triangle
This was a great trip. We've previously done all tours DIY. I enjoyed not having to think about navigation, most of the meals, etc. Our guide was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed stopping for sites of historical significance, a winery, an olive farm, an others. I liked that we had a variety of scenery including the coast, mountains, along lakes. Some of it felt wonderfully remote.
I consider myself a moderate rider (50-70 miles per week, elevation gain 3000-4000 ft per week) and did it on a non-ebike. Some parts pushed me but not to the extreme. We had a inexperienced rider who completed it on an e-bike with some effort, the rest of the group were experienced and did it on e-bikes without problems
I would say that a small portion of it was on a busy road. If you are not experienced with sharing the road during those times it might be intimidating but I felt comfortable. You have the option of sitting out ANY portion you are not comfortable with.
Breaks are frequent, at least 2 per day, usually 3 per day so it is manageable. Our guide did a good job of letting us go at our own pace which varied significantly. The SAG person was great about attending to any concerns about water, snacks, etc. needed along the way.
All of the lodging was comfortable and clean but not necessarily luxurious if that is important to you. Some of the lodging was 1-2 km from sites of interest in the evening (say old town) but it was walkable. Also, there were always options very close for evening dining if chose to stay close.
I have no regrets, was a good experience and would recommend it.- Countries included in this tour?

A great adventure!
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
This was a fantastic experience for both myself and my fiancé to explore the Swiss and German countryside. The tour maps laid out everything very clearly and we enjoyed biking through beautiful small villages. We would take every opportunity to stop along the biking trail at local historic sites and castles that were all suggested in our tour guide booklet. Each hotel we stayed at was top notch with very comfortable amenities and free breakfast included in the morning (which was great before biking 30-40miles). Overall we were super pleased with our decision to go on this trip. It was so well organized and it took out all the stress of having to plan out all the small details so that we could just enjoy biking and having fun.

Exceeded my very high expectations

I went in thinking the trip would be fun, a little educational, with good food, an appropriate physical challenge and beautiful vistas.
The week was all of that and so much more. Our guides were terrific - not just knowledgeable and helpful but delightfully interactive and fun. They provided personal, deep insight into the region and a fantastic connection to the locale. The food was amazing. I mean truly amazing - both the restaurants and the lunches. Brilliantly organized, fabulous, interesting route
Best of Holland South: Canals, Windmills & Historic Towns
A huge thanks for a fabulous trip! Pieter patiently spent over an hour at the start of the trip explaining the finer details of the bike’s operation and security guidelines and the ride with gps app was the perfect way to provide autonomy without having the hassle of working out your own route. The route was interesting and varied with each night spent in a charming town oozing character but away from the main tourist traps. The luggage transfer was perfectly executed and Pieter checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay. Bravo and merci! Highly recommend and would happily do another trip!

scenic ride with bird song soundtrack
Loire a Velo: Orleans to the Atlantic
The bikes were ready when we arrived, and in great condition. The RoadBook App made finding our way easier than paper maps, although we did miss a few turns. The app did need cell service and ate through the battery fast enough that we needed a power bank. The navigation feature thought we were a car, which led to some odd instructions until we realized what was happening and then ignored it.
The Chateaus are lovely and easy to visit. We did the trip in late April and enjoyed the sound of birds and frogs as we cycled. The daily distances allow for sufficient time to take in the sights as well as some leisure at the end of the day. Most of it is done on either bike trails or very low traffic roads, although there a few narrow and moderate traffic roads that are less pleasant.
We used electric bikes and were happy to have chosen them. Although there are very few hills, we were glad of the boost.
Hotels were excellent and generally easy to find in the towns. without too much city traffic. We chose the meal plan, and received no information on how that worked. The second restaurant explained how in worked in their case and that each restaurant would be different. It would have been helpful to know in advance.- What was the date of your tour?

Beautiful spring Portugal journey

This trip exceeded my expectations. The three guides (Fidel, Mario, Johanna) were all wonderful, kind and patient with our entire group. Constantly trying to make the trip a pleasurable experience. The hotels were all good, and generally exceeded expectations. The food was also outstanding. High quality, more than enough (no limits) and lots of drink/wine options. Beautiful tour overall, highly recommend.

Gorgeous scenery and a very authentic experience
Castles and Wines of Portugal
If you are looking for beauty and authenticity, this trip is for you. Our group of 16 had a wonderful time biking through rolling hills overlooking sweeping vistas of wild flowers, vineyards, olive and cork oak groves. The whitewashed and marble hill towns with their castle walls and ruins were charming and authentic. The food was local and delicious and the wines were excellent. But best of all were our guides, Mario, Videl, and Joana, who were fun, informative, well organized, and always enthusiastic. A good example is a rainy day in Monsaraz where we spent the morning walking around the castle and village, ate lunch, then half of the group rode in the van to a nearby pottery village while the others walked to a nearby convent and megalith, then we swapped and when the sun came out around 4:00 any who wanted took a two hour ride in the rolling hills surrounding the castle. Our guides worked it all out over lunch!

wonderful experience

Great trip - the cycling area was beautiful and the guides were excellent. There was SO MUCH delicious food each day. Everything was well organized and communicated and we didn't have to worry about anything. I highly recommend this trip.

We loved every minute of our trip. We got lost a few times, but realised that in Austria the sign posting wasn't as reliable than it was in Germany and Switzerland.

This tour showed off some amazing countryside, scenic vistas and quiet roads in Albania that many visitors would not otherwise see. Our driver Roxhens was really enthusiastic, supportive and went to great lengths to help us out even when it wasn’t part of his job (on an unguided tour).

Great trip

Great trip. Scenery is amazing. From high mountains to the sea! Most roads were low traffic (except in towns). The last day had a bit more traffic on the climb but wasn’t too bad. (When the tunnel opens there will be less automobile traffic)There is definitely a lot of climbing (some steep - 10%). So consider an e-bike unless you’re an avid cyclist. Food was good. No problems as a vegetarian. Hotels were good. No problems (a couple were really luxurious).

Albania is gorgeous!
UNESCO Sites of Albania
What a surprise to see the natural beauty of Albania by bicycle. We rode below snow capped peaks; through farmland; and along the Adriatic Coast. All of it was stunning. The riding was challenging and interesting without being too demanding. The bikes were very comfortable .Our guide was wonderful. He kept our bikes in tip top condition and kept his eye out for each one of us while riding. He shared his knowledge of Albania with us, and daily he recommended the best coffee and lunch stops. (We had an unguided trip). There was a variety of hotel styles and amenities, from basic to luxury.

Best way to see Rotterdam
360° Rotterdam Bike Tour
This was the best way to explore Rotterdam when you only have a few hours to do so. Ariane was so knowledge, showing us both major attractions in the city and a plethora of hidden gems I would've never known about without going on this tour.

Split and Dalmatian Islands
Split to Dalmatian Islands
We did a self guided tour, the tour director met with us and provided interesting info about Croatia, the routes we would follow, accessing the ferries and more. He was very patient as two 70 year olds mastered the GPS route guidance. It was a great tour and nice to come back to our small apartment each day. The apartment host was very accommodating as well.
