Effortless & Fun
Scenic Golden Gate Bridge San Francisco Bike Tour
Having the bike rental included made the whole process smooth, and the 3-hour timing was perfect for a full morning or afternoon activity. The National Bike Path route kept us away from traffic and offered sublime waterfront scenery.

Bicycle paths of the Dolomites
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
This was a great trip for our family of four to explore a beautiful area. The hotel was very comfortable and the included food was excellent. The local tour company was very helpful, although it was a little confusing to follow their paperwork so make sure to meet with them directly before you starts to confirm routes and days for transfers. It would also be helpful to check with the bike company to see if there are any route closures or events that may interfere with your trip. We had a large bike race which closed one of our trails one day which we didn’t know about and had to ride on the road and another day had a partial path closure of unknown reason. This could hav easily been avoided if the bike company had shared this information. The bikes were great but you may have to be proactive/assertive to determine details of route changes. All in all we really enjoyed our trip.

Lovely landscapes, great organization
Prague to Dresden Along the Vltava & Elbe Rivers
Great bike tour!
Overall: most of the ride (80%-90%) was on dedicated bike lanes, following the Voltava/Elbe rivers. Mainly flat, well signaled - generally an easy ride.Itinerary: I especially enjoyed the route around Prague at the beginning (good lanes, lots of bars/cafes on the side) and, more importantly, the last 2 days, from Decin to Dresden as the path goes through more mountainous areas but stays flat and easy as it follows the river. Great views with cute hills, chalets and the cliffs of the Swiss Saxony park.
I also appreciated that the hotel in day 4 was in Bad Schandau (instead of Pirna like other similar tours) as it allowed me to do hikes in Day 4 (between Decin and Bad Schandau) AND in Day 5 (between Bad Schandau and Dresden). Spending the night in Pirna (lovely city, by the way) means that by end of Day 4, you are out of the national park and therefore all the hikes, and believe me there are many opportunities, would have to be concentrated in Day 4. So, happy that the tour stopped in Bad Schandau instead
Day 2 (Melnik-Litomerice) was maybe the least interesting. Both cities are really cute, but in between, it is mainly fields and light forest landscapes.
I was able to get by in English everywhere. Got a bit more difficult in the middle of the tour, deep in Czechia (Litomerice for instance) but communication is always possible, especially with the help of translating apps.Organization: perfect. The bike was high quality. All the equipment was provided: lock, carrier bags (waterproof), bike helmet, full file with maps and all the places to go to / eat in along the way, useful navigation app, etc. Basically, I didn't have to use any of my equipment except cycling glasses
Accommodation: choice of cities to sleep along the way is optimal. All of them cute, with enough historical buildings to visit. Cadencing also good with 50-55 kms each day, except for day 4 (25 kms) which is when you want to do most of the hiking anyway, so it is good that it is the shortest cycling day. Bad Schandau is not super interesting to be honest (certainly less than Pirna) but as mentioned above, it is still optimal to stop there to enjy the park. Hotels were great, in very diverse styles, with maybe the one in Decin less nice but the town is really busy with lots of tourists and not too many hotels. Breakfast provided in all of them, with good quality and quantity (with again the one in Decin slightly below).
All in all, very happy with the trip and its organization and would definitely do it again!

All bike tours are not equal
Vienna to Budapest (Classic)
We are experienced bike tourists and have used several bike tour companies as well as planning our own tours. For this tour in particular: Accommodations were all very nice. The luggage transfers were timely and efficient and Roman, the driver, was great. The GPS worked well. The bikes were average and in good repair. A suggestion would be to have various saddle options. Overall the items and logistics of the bike tour co operator were in control of were very good. Specific to our experience, the actual mileages were different than initial itinerary causing final day plans in Budapest to be foiled. In our opinion, this stretch of the Danube radweg is not as scenic as the Passau to Vienna section. To no one’s fault, our specific tour was plagued by extreme heat and 3 days of solid torrential rain, which made this a less than ideal experience. Tour operator came through to try to assist us with alternative transportation options, which we appreciate.

Wonderful trip with my 16-year old daughter!
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
The logistics were as described and the tour operator was highly responsive when we had a question about a bike three days into the trip. Each night of lodging and breakfast each morning were terrific. The navigation through the trip app was easy to follow. Overall, it was an excellent cultural experience that was low stress.

Lovely cycle along the Danube
Danube Cycle Path Passau – Budapest
We took the upgraded option of gravel bikes and were very glad we did - they were great. The luggage transfer was very efficient and was almost always at our hotel before we were, even on the days we arrived early. We took the 3 star hotel option and the comfort level was fine. We really enjoyed some of the hotels we stayed in along the way. The cycling isn’t difficult and the distances are mostly short although some days were very hot in June so frequent drink and ice cream stops were required. I had downloaded the bike routes to my garmin to follow for easy navigation from hotel to hotel. We enjoyed having each afternoon and evening free to explore the next area and the cuisine. The only thing we would have changed would be to have an extra night in Bratislava which could have been arranged if we had thought of it earlier. Overall an excellent and well organised trip with good communication from the tour operator.

"Moselle Valley by Bike: A Well-Organized and Scenic Trip"
Mosel Bike Path: Dreamy Mosel Valley from Trier to Koblenz
We recently completed a cycling trip from Trier to Koblenz, passing through the Moselle Valley. The experience was excellent overall—well-organized, scenic, and relaxing.
The bikes we hired were in good condition and comfortable for long days of riding. The bike paths along the Moselle were easy to follow, mostly flat, and well signposted, making navigation simple even without GPS.
Accommodation throughout the trip was high quality. We especially liked the Kessler-Meyer Wellness Hotel in Cochem, which had great facilities and a comfortable atmosphere. Another highlight was the Hotel Richtershof in Mülheim, which offered a very good wine list and a relaxing setting. In Koblenz, we stayed at the Mercure Hotel, which was conveniently located near the river and a short walk from the Deutsches Eck.
One of the highlights of the trip was a wine tasting in Traben-Trarbach, where we had the chance to sample local Rieslings. After reaching Koblenz by bike, we took the ferry along the Rhine and cycling back to the city—an enjoyable way to see a different stretch of river scenery.
The only small issue we encountered was that the bikes weren't waiting for us at the starting hotel in Trier. However, the rental company responded quickly, and the bikes were delivered within a few hours.
Overall, this was a smooth and enjoyable trip. The combination of good bikes, quality hotels, and a scenic, easy-to-navigate route made for a great experience.

Effortless Fun, Must-Do Tour!
Best of San Francisco E-Bike Tour
Our guide was fantastic, full of great stories about Haight-Ashbury and the Painted Ladies. The e-bikes were a game-changer, making this feel like a fun, casual glide through the city rather than a strenuous workout. 10/10 recommend for a brilliant sightseeing day!

Amazing Adventure
Danube Cycle Path Passau – Budapest
The two-week biking trip through the four countries was magical. The stretch from Passau, Germany to Vienna, Austria was particularly beautiful with small villages, sunflower fields, orchards, vineyards, monasteries, ruins, churches, and lively and interesting cities. All logistical components went smoothly; bikes were new and well-maintained. Each hotel had its own charm. The mix of small villages, mid-sized towns, and capital cities provided lots of variety and opportunities for different types of activities for each member of our 4-person team. Highly recommend this experience for those who want a more intimate look/experience in Central Europe.

Great trip!
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
Fantastic experience overall. The trail is well-marked and easy to follow. The route follows the river so relatively downhill with scenic views, nice towns, and plenty of places to stop. Hotels were comfortable and well-located, making them easy to find after a day of cycling. One tip: if you’re particular about comfort, bring your own bike clips, water bottle cage and an ergonomic bike seat—those upgrades can make a big difference on multi-day rides.

Favorite bike tour!
Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
This is our 3rd this type tour and for sure our favorite. The Danube cycle path is perfect… gorgeous scenery, flat, paved. We loved the small towns and the accommodations. Would highly recommend. Oh… the bikes were great too.

Bicycle path of the Dolomites based in 1 hotel
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
Beautiful scenery with challenging, yet manageable routes through amazing scenery. We cycled with our two teenage daughters (14, 16) who loved every minute of it. Being based in one hotel was very nice, and each day proved to be an entirely different experience. We were grateful to have this beautiful opportunity

A great experience
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
Whether the bike rides or the river cruise and amenities, this tour is clearly put together thoughtfully for the client and to provide a nice balance of experiences. Also, the Vivienne was able to negotiate the Danube in low water levels that many other cruise ships could not. (We passed some that were moored and could not continue). Great crew and food. We also have e-bikes at home and the ones provided were comfortable and high-quality.

Mountain valleys, forests, meadows, pastures, and rivers
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
I believe this has been our 4th trip with BikeTours.com, and this might be the best one yet. If you’re looking for a pleasant ride through a lush green countryside, and generally cool weather (and can tolerate a rainstorm or two), Austria is an ideal place for biking, and this particular tour is one of the very best. This trip was actually a little easier on the legs (we only use “real” bikes!) than the other Level 2 trips we’ve taken, and the overall vibe and scenery were just what we were looking for. While we enjoy the bigger cities of Innsbruck and Salzburg, what we love best are the trails through the countryside, with a nice village every 10 miles or so for a break and a bit of Apfelstrudel. Austrians are so friendly to tourists that it’s simply a delight to be here. The cool weather and lush green vegetation everywhere are a big plus, particularly if you come from a drier climate like we do. We navigated with the provided .gpx file using Google maps. Best navigation experience by far!

Wonderful experience in a scenic environment!
Mosel Bike Path: Dreamy Mosel Valley from Trier to Koblenz
What was good:
- The hotels were first class in terms of location, breakfast, cleanliness and facilities
- The bicycles were in an excellent condition
- The Mosel is almost too beautiful to be true, with the winding river, vines, castles and picturesque villages
- The wine tasting was a very pleasant experience
- The roads were mostly dedicated cycle paths, fairly flat and in a good condition
- The Rhine cruise was a nice bonusWhere the tour can be improved upon:
- The instructions and directions for the Rhine cruise was totally absent - we did not know where to go
- The location of the wine tasting was also a bit obscure and hidden in the fine print
- We received vouchers for Trier but did not know what they were for and we arrived too late to use them
- The directions were not always clear and we got lost a few times (eg on Day 1 the notes say "You'll find the Hotel Moselblick here", but in fact one should take a turn-off BEFORE the hotel.)
- The road works in Trier also confused us and it took us an extra hour to find the right path. (We met other cyclists who were confused as well)
- Most of the coffee shops and restaurants in the smaller towns were closed in the afternoon, which was disappointing and threw our plans in disarray!
- On Day 2 our luggage only arrived at the hotel after 6 pm despite it being a short route. As a result we had to attend the wine tasting in our cycling clothes.
- On Day 4 I cramped badly and phoned the Service Hotline to be picked up and taken to the hotel, but we were told that Pedalo does not provide that service, despite promises in the upfront communication that it does. What would have happened if one of us fell badly and broke an arm or damaged the bicycle, or if a torrential thunderstorm broke out? Surely there must be a rescue vehicle on stand-by?
- The info pack was insufficient in the absence of a personal briefing sessionDespite these points, it was a wonderful experience (albeit a bit expensive) and we would recommend it strongly to couples, families or friends.
Just a warning: Although I was reasonably fit and an experienced cyclist, I suffered on the long days. Cycling 60+ kilometers on normal touring bicycles is not a trivial exercise (especially in wind or rain), so please come prepared with properly padded cycling shorts, hydrate frequently, and get e-bikes if possible.

A perfect way to be introduced to the Dolomites!
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
The five day tour provided an excellent introduction to the spectacular scenery and splendour of the South Tyrol area. Staying at one hotel (The Hotel Germanic - excellent service all around), allowed us to focus on each day’s itinerary and not on packing up and moving on. The views biking out of Dobbiaco from all directions were breathtaking taking. We will be back!
