Tour to remember
· Berlin – Copenhagen
This trip delivered on every level I was looking for. The route, the distance to ride on each leg, the hotels and towns stopping at each leg all excellent. The people on the tour were fun and the people I met along the way were also helpful and friendly. The route notes and maps were good and the bike was also just right for me. So happy I took this tour.

Perfect Family Trip!
· Lake Constance Bicycle Path
This was the perfect self-guided tour for our family of 3. My son is 14. The length of each day riding was perfect. We loved each hotel that was selected. We look forward to our next bike trip!

Wonderful tour along the Danube!
· Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
It was a really great trip. We (two couples) did a self-guided trip. The welcome/bike set-up meeting was very helpful and on time. The e-bike rentals were great. And the routing and App provided were terrific. Less wonderful: we did have trouble reaching the local vendor for a bike repair issue - surprisingly the person with the "WhatsApp" number had taken off with that phone that day. Caused a lot of confusion. Also, one of our hotels (Linz) provided awful service in terms of non-functioning Air Conditioning in both rooms. For hours they told us that this was as cool as the rooms get (approx 27 degrees Celcius). Finally, the manager agreed to let us try rooms on a lower floor, which were a very comfortable 21 degrees.
Overall, we'd recommend the trip highly. -

Half and Half
· Freiburg and the Alsatian Wine Road
Maybe it was the extreme heat but we found the first 3 days to be less than exciting. We were just thankful we didn’t have a strong head wind as we rode along the very exposed Rhine River embankment. Strasbourg was gorgeous but it was 98 at 4 pm. The ride west out of Strasbourg was beautiful, shady as it followed an old canal. Alsace was fantastic even though a few hills were probably at least 12%. Most surfaces were very nice. Obernai and Colmar were highlights. We rode our own touring bikes.

Best way to learn and explore!
· Berlin – Copenhagen
Traveling by e-bike through Germany and Denmark was the best way for us to travel. We are in our 70's and seldom cycle at home but having dedicated cycle paths and quiet roads with very understanding drivers makes this type of travel perfect. The huge expanses of agricultural fields, forests and waterways made cycling relaxing and a joy to see. The majority of accommodations were steeped in history and nearby historic sites.

A Beautiful 5-Day Ride from Prague to Dresden
· Prague to Dresden Along the Vltava & Elbe Rivers
This was our 7th cycle trip with Biketours and one of the most scenic, especially considering the ease of the terrain. We traveled with our 2 daughters, ages 12 and 8, who did well on this route, which is mostly on dedicated and paved cycle ways. I would recommend this trip for anyone looking for routes that are suitable for families with children or for folks who simply want to avoid biking on motorways. The lodging was good to excellent by European standards (even for 4 people), and the boarding (breakfasts) were consistently excellent. The local tour company is one of the best I have seen in terms of their speed of communication and proficiency with technology, as they responded in moments via mobile apps when we had questions and provided detailed GPS navigation instructions. The bikes and gear were all in good condition with no mechanical issues. Bottom line, I would strongly recommend this tour, especially for families.

Brutal weather but a great ride nonetheless
· Berlin – Copenhagen
This was the trip I had wanted to go on since the first time I came across Bike Tours. The trip was filled with wonderful trails and scenery and although the length was quite long it was very doable, sans the weather! It happened that during our ride (7 of the 9 days) there were extremely high winds and rain several of the days. The wind made it so difficult to ride as most days had sustained winds between 20-30 mph (ALL DAY LONG). Thank the Lord for e-bikes. I never could have done this ride without one. That being said, it was still enjoyable. It was very easy to connect with the ferry to cross from Germany to Denmark and the small bike ferry we took to Bogo was smooth as well. On a couple of days we made our own route on google maps and ride with gps to shorten the days a bit. I would definitely recommend the trip and we all know we just deal with the weather given us. I was incredibly impressed with how well the trails are marked and maintained. We met some really nice travelers along the way and although we do self guided rides we seem to see the same people at the hotels at night. The young man who met us at our beginning hotel did the most thorough hand over of bikes than any other company we have worked with. The bike was a perfect fit and I was very happy with the local tour operator.

Spectacular bike trip. Well thought out itinerary. Excellent breakfasts which were included. Hotels were good although some didn't have ac as they were literally 100s of years old

Bike, Barge, Fine Dining!
· · Amsterdam to Cologne along the IJssel and Rhine
What a super trip! The Merlin is a beautiful barge and the crew exceptionally welcoming. Meals were gourmet, the scenery beautiful, and the cycling was so perfect. Ilsa was a terrific guide - the picture of patience, a font of knowledge, and an expert cyclist. The small group size meant we were able to become acquainted with each other very quickly, which was fun. The staterooms were so comfortable and inviting. Superb service. This trip certainly exceeded my expectations.

A river bike ride
· Mosel Bike Path: Dreamy Mosel Valley from Trier to Koblenz
Great place for a bike ride along a river and through wine country. Visiting towns along the way a nice bonus. Not much of altitude gain was also a plus.

Well organized, very enjoyable trip
· · Danube Discovery: Pedaling from Germany to Austria
The bike routes were very well marked. Additionally, we were provided with excellent maps and an excellent gps route guidance tool. We were initially given e-bikes which we had not requested but they were immediately switched out to regular bikes. The crew were all very helpful and nice. The ship was quite comfortable. Food was very good.
All around a very nice experience. -

Fun ride for experienced cyclist
· Romantic Road and Bavarian Lakes
What a great way to see Germany! The sights, sounds, smells... all the things you miss in a car or on a train. Have you heard a cuckoo bird in the wild? The navigation app worked great for the route - it didn't always lead you to your hotel, just FYI, you may be using your cell data plan for part of the navigation. Be sure to check for national holidays - Gasthauses may be closed. We rode in May - be ready for rain and sun. Luggage was always delivered to our next accomidation by 5pm- plan ahead for days when the ride ends early!

Beautiful Scenery
· Romantic Road from Würzburg to Donauwörth
We found the first half of this tour fabulous. Wurzburg was a highlight, especially since we were there during wine festival - it was very lively. For the first 3 days we enjoyed riding through lots of little towns and took our time enjoying coffee/lunch stops. It was interesting to see the scenery change during the second half (more rural farms). We found, however, that there were fewer little towns to stop in or explore. This made stopping for coffee/lunch challenging or impossible. Luggage transfer was totally reliable. Hotels were a bit of a mix. GHotel in Wurzburg was nice, but basically a big box hotel by a busy road. Hotel Gerberhaus in Rothenburg was quirky - the room was small and hot, the shower didn't work well. Hotel Sinas Brettl in Nordlingen was quite disappointing - they seemed to be building the hotel as they ran it. We arrived early afternoon and there was no one present except a construction worker. We killed time at a coffee shop and came back. The same construction worker called the hotel owner who explained where our key was. We stepped over cords etc. to get to our room which was set up for just 1 person. It was loud. Hotel Zu den Drei Kronen in Donauworth was fine, not special. Our room had 2 twin beds - looked like a university dorm room. It was also set up for just 1 person. Staff quickly addressed that. I will also note that we were worried about the weather for a few days, so rushed more than usual. We wondered what we would have done had we been caught in a lightening storm with no towns nearby. Overall we enjoyed our trip, but the hotels need more attention and some of the routes should consider stops for lunch/rests. Bikes were excellent.

Enjoyable easy ride along the Danube
· Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
My wife and I are 71, so we appreciated the fact that this was a really flat trip along the river. The entire trip took place on a separate bike path, even if you were traveling along side a roadway, the bike path was physically separate from traffic. Along the way, there were many nice opportunities to stop for an afternoon coffee or a mid day meal. The hotels we stayed at were very nice. The bikes we used were e-bikes, and they were fantastic. The local bike support was super responsive - our only issue was in trying to contact one of the hotels, we could not understand how to make a call in Austria. We called the bike company service line, and they took care of us!

Bike ride down the Danube
· Danube Cycle Path Passau – Budapest
The tour was very well organised, the accomodation was of a high standard without exception. The included evening meals were generally of a acceptable standard.
The premium bike that was provided was far too big and as a consequence I had to ride a different bike one which did not have a crossbar. This bike was very heavy and I found it difficult to manage.
The Pedalo navigation App generally worked OK although I had to re install it a number of times to get it up and running again. I was grateful I had it as my Garmin 1030 device failed to function.- What was the date of your tour?
