Fantastic trip through beautiful scenery
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
Bike tours was great to accommodate us when our flight was delayed and make it all still work out. The hotels were great, and our luggage always arrived on time and seamlessly. I loved the breakfasts ! The scenery was beautiful along the river, through forest, and countryside. Directions were clear. Biked worked great!

Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
Every day we were treated to a delicious menu from Breakfast to Dinner and dessert. High Tea every afternoon with treats like Black Forest Cake and Cheesecake after spending a day exploring ancient towns and castles by bike. Our cruise director Reinhold saved the day, and gave us a daily run down on options for tours in larger cities. Staff overall was wonderful and attentive. Bike pathways are lovely along the river, highly recommend this trip!. Plus, the Swiss Crown is in great shape, very comfortable.

It was a wonderful trip
Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
I thought Bike Tours did an excellent job for us. The rental bikes were like brand new. My wife and I rented e-bikes and our son rented a regular bike. After the first day our son wanted to upgrade to a performance bike. Bike tours met us at our first destination and swapped it out for an up charge which was agreed upon earlier that day.
We opted for the upscale lodging and I feel it was well worth it. All rooms except for one were larger than I expected by European standards. All lodging included a gourmet breakfast that you do not find in America. The fresh breads were amazing.
The bike paths through Germany and especially Austria our beautiful and well maintained. It's hard to explain your feelings as you ride through mid-evil villages, explore Castles, Monasteries, and Cathedrals that go back to the Roman empire.
The Capstone of our trip was to watch the Lipizzan Stallions perform at the Spanish Riding School in Vienna.
The planning, communication, self guided app provided by Bike Tours was excellent. It would notify you if you left the route and reroute you if you needed it.
We had a wonderful trip.

Fabulous and exceeded expectations
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
From the moment we arrived on board I felt welcomed. The entire staff went out of their way to answer questions, offer help and with a smile. The captain took his job very serious, but also had a sense of humor. Our director, Leslie, kept us laughing as he presented valuable information on the boat, bike routes, city tours, etc. The actives on board like 70 & 80's music night and karaoke night were so much fun. I have not danced and laughed so much in years. I will be going again and have already told many friends they need to book this trip!

We had an amazing trip on the Swiss Crown. The food was above and beyond! All the staff were friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. The bikes were in great shape and checked daily. Everything was clean and organized. The wifi was unreliable and app provided for navigation didn’t always work for us. I was happy to have preloaded the routes on my Naviki app. We had purchased an e-sim which worked well. Having said that we would do it again, and probably will book a different trip with this company. They were awesome

Dream cycling trip
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
There was no surprise that cycling along the Danube through 4 Countries would be amazing, but the whole boat experience was fantastic.
The boat was in pristine condition and a lot bigger than I ever imagined, combine that with the most friendly helpful staff and top quality restaurants level food every day.
I was mainly going for the bike riding, but honestly I could have really enjoyed myself almost as much by staying on the boat and not riding at all. I will definitely book another trip in the near future. - ★★★★★ Mitch
Wonderful Trip
Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
We self guided down the Danube from Passau to Vienna. The experience was great. We stopped where and when we wanted to to stop and enjoyed the locals along the way. Being self guided was no problem at all, my only suggestion is to tie the hotels to the route for the for guidance. We ended up using Google maps to take us from the end of the route to the hotel in Linz and Vienna.
The Great hotels were : The Altstadt Hotel Passau, Landgastof Winter Ardagger, Hotel Zur Post Melk, Hotel Richard Lowenherz Dunstein and the Steigenberger Hotel Herrenhof Vienna. All of these hotel were phenominal. Frau Winter and the team in Adagger make feel right at home, great bar, great food and great hosts make for great stay. Elisabeth and her staff at Hotel Zur Post make you fell right at home, with a great wine tasting from the Wachau Valley, along with a great kitchen and ice cream shop out front makes this a great place to stay and enjoy their wonderful hospitality. Their uniforms are wonderful and ad to the experience! The Richard Loweherz in Durnstein is built around an abbey built in the 1400's, service was great and rooms comfortable. The restaurant was great also. The Steigenberger Hotel in Vienna puts the S in service. All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure you had what you needed for a wonderful stay. Great hotel in a large city with a small hotel feel. The real downer was the Radisson in Linz, indifferent front desk staff, dirty carpet in the first room and attached to a casino tells all about who they cater to. We were not impressed. The hotel in Tullin, The Best Western was brand new spotless and had a great manager. For business type of hotel this was a five star experience compared to Linz. The hotel is spotlessly clean and in a great part of town central to everything, it is not a traditional European old style hotel. The hotel in Schlogen we were indifferent to it is a summer resort hotel with a weird layout. It was okay but to call it upscale was stretching things a little in our opinion. It is located on the great bend and has wonderful views for the Danube and a great back deck to eat and drink on.
The Wachau valley is the heart of this tour for sheer beauty as was the ride from Schlogen to Linz and Linz to Ardagger. Those were our most enjoyable legs.
The bikes were brand new for the season for us and our two friend who had electric bikes they both had about 4000km on them. The bikes were in great repair and required no maintenance along the ride. The disk brakes were a welcome addition in the rain.
If you want to take a great bike ride down through Germany and Austria this ride is for you. Virtually flat with just a few climbs in and out of towns makes for an easy ride, we ended up gaining weight from all of the great food! Don't be put off by self guided, it's a great way to see everything you want to see. - ★★★★★ john kremerss

Highlight of our European trip
Mosel & Saar by Bike & Boat
What a fantastic experience. Exceeded all our expectations. Cycling on an e-bike was almost effortless (although after a couple of days we were glad we brought our padded gel seats). The cycling was mostly flat and mostly on dedicated cycle paths. Very rarely wrre you on the road with the cars.
The food was a class above what we were expecting. Breakfast was plentiful and dinner was delicious and well presented.
We received a discount for our room (#227) as it was at the rear of the boat and was affected by engine noise. To be honest the noise when moored was no worse than most aircon units. Our room was also 1 sq metre larger than most others which meant we had a double bed (as opposed to two singles) and had plenty of room for our clothing and luggage in the twin wardrobes and drawers.
Julia, the cruise director, was fantastic at explaining the ins and outs of each up,-coming day and organising the additional shore excursions.
Being the first week of May there were many shops, cafes and restaurants along the way that weren't open but we always found somewhere to stop and rest. It also meant the roads and cycleways were not so busy, as the would be in the holiday season.
Overall a great blend of history, scenery and relaxation. Looking forward to our next trip.- What was the date of your tour?

Beyond high expectations !
Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
We've taken several boat and bike trips as we LUV floating hotels and active vacations, usually on smaller boats than the Vivienne, my concerns for number of guests were not necessary. The flexibility of schedule, ability to do self guided bike routes, and fellow guests were quite fun. The cabin, typical of boats, small with very good storage for clothes and accessories and stashing away luggage. Wifi was good throughout the trip. The meals were great and plentiful. We signed up for every 'optional' excursion and had the best guided experiences learning more about each capital visited. The Danube and Central Europe are not to be missed, rich with history and quiet roads to explore on two wheels. The crew gets a 10+, informative, attentive and friendly. Even with a ride in the rain this trip was 'over the top' in my memory. Evening theme parties, costumes provided on board - not to be missed.

Biking the Danube: just the right amount of challenge.
Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
The self-guided bike tour prepared by BikeTours.com was the perfect amount of challenge and adventure. We got to see and experience nature, history and the local culture of Austria.
Each night we laid our weary heads down in comfortable and unique accommodations. The hearty breakfasts provided each morning helped to keep us going.
This was just the right amount of challenge for our average level of fitness. The e-bikes, app and maps and luggage transfer certainly made the whole experience easier.
We are already dreaming about our next bike tour.

Danube Delights: Biking through Four Countries
Meals were good / not overwhelming. Rooms were fine (we chose the upper deck). Bikes were not to the level we are used to at home and for 50-60 km days were “adequate”. There weeent many hills. The optional bike tours were great in Budapest and Vienna although you need to expect traffic in Vienna. The landscape was beautiful. Great trip!

A great adventure!
Lake Constance Bicycle Path
This was a fantastic experience for both myself and my fiancé to explore the Swiss and German countryside. The tour maps laid out everything very clearly and we enjoyed biking through beautiful small villages. We would take every opportunity to stop along the biking trail at local historic sites and castles that were all suggested in our tour guide booklet. Each hotel we stayed at was top notch with very comfortable amenities and free breakfast included in the morning (which was great before biking 30-40miles). Overall we were super pleased with our decision to go on this trip. It was so well organized and it took out all the stress of having to plan out all the small details so that we could just enjoy biking and having fun.

Brilliantly organized, fabulous, interesting route
Best of Holland South: Canals, Windmills & Historic Towns
A huge thanks for a fabulous trip! Pieter patiently spent over an hour at the start of the trip explaining the finer details of the bike’s operation and security guidelines and the ride with gps app was the perfect way to provide autonomy without having the hassle of working out your own route. The route was interesting and varied with each night spent in a charming town oozing character but away from the main tourist traps. The luggage transfer was perfectly executed and Pieter checked in regularly to make sure everything was okay. Bravo and merci! Highly recommend and would happily do another trip!

We loved every minute of our trip. We got lost a few times, but realised that in Austria the sign posting wasn't as reliable than it was in Germany and Switzerland.
