We did this trip a few years back and the rides, the sights and the accomodations were all so wonderful that we signed up a second time, this time with our best biking buddies.

· · Amsterdam – Bruges by Bike and Boat – Fluvius (and reverse)
Enjoyed city walking tours and biking during the day. Boat was comfortable and food was good. Staying on the boat is much easier than packing each morning and finding the hotel for the next night. Local beer selection was nice. I was unaware of cash only policy on board. This caused concern, but final bill was manageable with the cash I had.
I have met with friends to tell them how good a boat and bike tour is to travel. They are planning for next year. -

· Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
A great trail averaging 30 miles/day for 7 days of riding. Most of the trail was well marked , paved and no cars. Most along the river but some going thru cobblestone streets in small towns, farm fields, orchards , vinyards or woods. The accommodations were mostly first class . Rooms in Tulln Best Western were tiny but Great hotels in Vienna and Durnstein. Large, very good breakfasts everywhere we stayed. We looked at both barge and hotel based trips and were very glad we chose hotels as it allowed us to more easily see the towns we were staying in. Most of the people we saw were on electric bike but 5 in our group had pedal bikes with no problems. We were fortunate as the weather was cool with no rain.
Our hardest time was navigating thru Vienna streets, bike paths to get to our hotel which was great location and worth the hassle.
Highly recommend this trip. Already looking for another trip a year from now.

Wonderful Trip

Bike tours arranged a wonderful trip for us. The hotels were all first class with great accommodations, food, and friendly staff. The breakfasts were amazing! The route was well planned with interesting sights, charming villages, and famous landmarks. Our luggage was almost always to the hotels before we arrived (except on our short biking day). · Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
The riding was almost all downhill. We had a variety of hotel styles that were all clean. The routes along the way weaved through differing scenery. Tour operator gave us great support in dealing with a tire problem. They contacted a near by bike shop and the shop was waiting for us to quickly change out the tire when we arrived. Navigation was sometimes challenging in the canyons of city buildings but that was due to weak GPS signals so it was fun to just look around and figure it out. Similarly, while rafting the Grand Canyon our GPS showed us floating over monsterous bluffs.
Over all I recommend that if you have the health and the savings, you should do this now while either one is gone. -

Good ride second time around.

Redid this ride as we wanted to include a few places we missed the first time. Our day hiking around Lago de Braies was not a stage, but worth the extra day. Also rode all the way out to Santa Magdalena. A very beautiful ride. Bikes were top line. Only difficulties were with transfer days due to mis-information & drivers who were not aware of meeting points. In all some great rides.

· Tauern Bike Path (Krimml-Passau)
This was our 2nd time to ride the Tauern Bike Path. This time, however, we shortened it to 3 days - Krimml to Salzburg, spent a few days in Salzburg and then to Prague by train. All 3 riding days were superb in displaying God's magnificence. Day 2, Zell am See to Lofer, was definitely the best of the 3 days. Hotels were superb in every way, even accommodating our request for gluten free and lactose free options for my wife at breakfast. Gasthof Hochmoos in Lofer is my all time favorite hotel in Europe, from accommodations to scenery and location. An easy downhill ride, but e-bikes make the trip more leisurely for any level of biker. There are a few short climbs but nothing too demanding. Happy to serve as a guide for anyone needing a helping hand!!!!

One of the best!
· Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
This was our 10th bike trip with Biketours and our group of 6 had a wonderful time. Basing in a single hotel was unique and worked well with no packing/unpacking. The routes and the app from Fun Active, the local provider were great. Scenery was spectacular. Would highly recommend Hotel Lauris with its included excellent spa (great after a day of biking) and their included nightly 7 course dinners (maybe too much food??). Taylor, from Bike Tours, was very responsive and helpful, as usual.

An excellent way to see Bilbao. Tour was extensive and visited all the key attractions. Our guide,Roberto, explained all the details about the sites in Excellent English. Highly recommend this experience. It was my first time on an ebike. If I can do it, anyone can!

· Rhine Bike Path: Mainz to Cologne
They say cycling is the ideal pace of travel, fast enough that the scene is always changing but slow enough that you can take much of it in. While the App is at time challenging to give accurate information when you need it on the whole it was a huge plus over using paper maps and probably better than Google Maps.
The accommodation was of mixed standards, some of it in less ideal locations and/or looking tired on the outside but internally the rooms were all clean, comfortable and with excellent showers.
We were lucky with the weather but if you got a good soaking every day you may struggle to dry kit, but the bag moving service worked impeccably, sometimes the bags were even waiting in our rooms rather than the lobby.
The question is would we do it again and would we use bike tours and the answer to both is yes. The support was very good and the experience was memorable, hugely enjoyable and a little bit of an adventure.- What was the date of your tour?

Hotels exceeded expectations…except 1 palace.
Pedalo app was excellent….a few small errors.
Unable to get a proper fitting helmet. One size does not fit all. Ended up buying a large helmet.

Really amazing trip, as the paths in the Netherlands and Belgium are first-rate and a biker's haven. Pieter from our tour company was awesome. First-rate bikes and the GPS on this trip were flawless, which is the first time after completing six tours that I could say that. Additionally, we appreciated the selection of hotels on this tour. Definitely looking forward to another bike trip in Holland.

Romantic Danube
· Danube Bike Path 8 Nights (Upscale Lodging)
This was our fourth time riding this trip. One can never tire riding this beautiful cycle path, the beautiful countryside, small town’s and villages, farms, orchards, city centers and buildings that are hundreds of years old, castles, etc. We prefer to go with the “Upscale Version “, perhaps a reflection of our age. The hotels and locations were excellent.
We select the upgraded bikes and they were in perfect condition. We combined the “Tauren Krimml to Passau “ cycle route on this trip and enjoyed the ride immensely.

Fantasic experince!!!
· Danube Bike Path 7 Nights (Classic)
We enjoyed our trip from Passau to Austria. The local tour operator, Pedalo, did a great job interfacing with the hotels, moving our luggage and taking care of any issues with our bikes. Gave us everything we needed to succeed!
A few notes:
a) Be aware that the first two days are among the longer legs of the trip, so be prepared to leave early those days
b) The route goes on both sides of the Danube pretty much continuously, with a few diversions onto local roads from separated bike paths. You do not have to follow the recommended route if you want to check out something on the other side or save a few Euros from the bike ferries, but the planned route is a good one to follow. If you just follow the R1 / Danauweg signs toward the right towns you will be fine.
c) The hotels vary widely in quality and level of staffing. Check them out yourself during the booking process.We used regular bikes - if you choose e-bikes be sure you understand the range capabilities and where you can charge your bikes in the middle of the day if needed.

Stunningly Beautiful
· Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
This was my third trip with Bike Tours and it did not disappoint! The setting at Hotel Laurin in Toblach, Italy was stunningly beautiful! Every ride surrounded you with mountain views. Most of the paths were paved and well marked. There were only a few moments of confusion regarding the path to take. Hotel Laurin was very accommodating and served excellent gourmet meals every night and a hearty breakfast in the morning. At the hotel, there were several saunas and a steam room as well as an outdoor pool that awaited you at the end of your ride. The only concern I had was the initial confusion around the maps and rides that were self-guided as well as how these particular e-bikes operated (the e-bikes were great once you figured out the mechanics of them). An orientation by the rental bike company, Fun Active Tours, that provided the maps and bikes, would have been most helpful; and, I was not the only guest who thought an orientation would be helpful. I also had a problem with my attempt to rent a helmet from Fun Active Tours that responded in a less than accommodating way. However, Bike Tours considered my situation and responded most helpfully. In all, it was a fabulous trip which I would highly recommend! Elaine Kubicki

· · Mosel & Saar by Bike & Boat
This was the most wonderful way to experience the Mosel River area. Our cabins on the Princesse Royal were quite comfortable and spacious, including the private bathroom. The boat was beautiful and accommodating, and the meals were perfect for bicyclists. We appreciated the option to cycle on our own, but could join either group if we chose. The guides were energetic, helpful and entertaining. And the rest of the staff were very accommodating and friendly. And we were so impressed with our fellow travelers on the boat. Apparently they have hit the sweet spot with marketing and attract the most interesting types of cyclists.
