Monuments & Memorials Tour it is!
Washington DC Monuments & Memorials Bike Tour
This is a great tour! You will definitely see many monuments and memorials, some of which I didn’t even know existed, and I’ve travel to DC quite a bit. There’s not a lot of biking on this tour, so if you’re looking for a real work out, this isn’t it, but it is great to do with families – smaller children, grandmas and grandpas etc. Highly recommend! Our guides, Eric B and Josh were amazing!!

A fun way to learn about history!
Washington DC Monuments & Memorials Bike Tour
This was such a comprehensive tour of the National Mall monuments and memorials. My husband and I had a great time riding our bikes, learning about our country's history, and taking photos of the memorable sites. Our guides were very knowledgeable DC locals. I learned new facts and fun trivia tidbits. Did you know there is a time capsule at the MLK Jr Monument? The pace of the tour is leisurely, with plenty of stops to experience the monuments and memorials, take pictures, or get refreshments.

This was a well-organized tour with informative guides. Biking from one monument to the next by bike was a really fun way to get around and see the sites easily and quickly. At each spot, we were given enough time to explore the monuments on foot . Biking was easy and bikes were in good condition. A great experience.

Great way to see the monuments

Great bike tour of DC’s most popular monuments. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave us ample time to explore the sites at each stop. Not too much biking so perfect for unexperienced riders, looking to learn but not break a sweat. Would recommend!

The best monuments/memorials in one tour
Washington DC Monuments & Memorials Bike Tour
I can't think of a better way to see all the monuments/memorials in one trip. Of course you can't drive your car to each of the monuments and park. I suppose you could walk it, but it would be a very long walk. So seeing them by bike is about perfect.
Despite growing up in DC, I learned a lot on this tour. For instance, I didn't realize that the Washington Monument was at one time the tallest building in the world (later surpassed by the Eiffel Tower). And that it remains the tallest unreinforced stone structure in the world (no steel, just stone). (The wording used by the guide was something about "tallest free standing" structure, but I think he meant "tallest unreinforced structure".)
Every monument and memorial is a highlight. For me the MLK one was especially cool as I had not seen before. I just thought it was really well done and the guide really described it well. Another highlight was at the end, standing on the steps of the Jefferson memorial, you could see many of the monuments/memorials visited earlier, the White House, the Potomac, National Cathedral and all over DC actually. It's a great view. I had also not seen the FDR memorial before, and while I found it interesting, its message was not quite as easy to grasp as the others, for me at least.
There were two tour guides in our group of nearly 20 people, and they were knowledgeable about each monument. During each stop, one guide would keep an eye on all the bikes so that we could walk around and explore the monument for 10, 15 or 20 minutes, depending on the monument/memorial. It was really well organized and planned. The guides were friendly and available for questions and also had tools to help adjust the bikes if needed. One guide was wearing a badge on his shirt about how he wanted tips. I didn't know that ahead of time and didn't bring cash, and wouldn't know what they'd expect even if I had. So I kind of wish there was more communication and clarity on this aspect, as it made me wonder if the guides are already paid or if they are volunteers. In any case, the guides were great.
The bikes were good quality, well maintained, comfortable and easy to ride. I think the bike I rode was a Cannondale, which I understand is a very good quality bike. The starting location was very convenient and Unlimited Biking has a great location in DC. Along the ride there were opportunities for food and bathroom breaks, and it was overall a very easy and educational day tour.
I recommend this tour if you are interested in an easy and fun way to see all the monuments. This really is the easiest way to do that. I don't recommend this tour if you are looking for lots of exercise on a bike, as there really isn't all that much actual bike riding on this tour. But luckily, we were able to keep riding the bikes afterwards (without the guides) so we rode on to Old Town Alexandria and back, which was a nice ride for both exercise and scenery. This bike tour was a fantastic way to see all the historical monuments and having a guide full of useful information gave depth to the places we visited. Will definitely be taking advantage of biking day tours in the future because you can cover a lot more ground in a short amount of time. I loved seeing the Lincoln Memorial and the National Mall, so much history, absolutely amazing!!!

Great Biking Trip in Andalusia
Andalusia: Southern Spain
The biking trip was fantastic. It was our first time doing a biking trip and this experience was wonderful. Everyone who helped us was truly great. I had many questions before signing up and after. The personnel in the United States were patient and informative. The man who delivered our bikes was truly a wonderful and helpful person. We were on a self-guided tour and we had trouble getting out of Sevilla and he went out of his way to assist us and make sure we were on the right track. The bikes were absolutely great. We are both 65 years old and consequently decided to use e-bikes. The GPS was a must and incredibly helpful as was the guidebook presented to us upon arrival in our first hotels. The hotels by and large were excellent. Maybe one exception was the one in Jerez. The route was well thought out and incredibly diverse. One day biking on farming roads, dirt roads, the via Verde ( an old rail-trail), one day amongst estuaries heading into Cadiz. It was an unbelievable breathtaking way to see the country. We met so many lovely people along the way in small town bars and restaurants. The day after we turned in the bikes we wanted to start a new biking trip.

Top notch amazing trip, and affordable!
Algarve Coastal Route
The self-guided Algarve coastal trip was amazing in every way! Varied landscapes and terrain, beautiful coastal, farmland, marshland, and city views. GPS worked great and was mandatory given all the turns. Hotels were fantastic, usually ocean views, 4 stars, and amazing breakfasts.

Best of Catalonia Cycle Touring
Great route, the cities we rode thru and old rail trails were safer than city/country roads. The guide was fantastic with educational info, language skills and expertise on coffee and lunch/dinner stops.

Super tulip
Holland’s Super Tulip Tour
A bit like giligan’s island. It was staffed by excellent people but the boat was substandard. It seems the boat was rented by the outfitters on April 1 but not really checked out for fitness. They did a cruise on April 6 during which plumbing problems developed which they did not completely fix before starting pour cruise on April 15. The problem continued and we had to spend a night in a hotel. A very nice hotel provided by the outfitters. In all it was okay but still avoidable.

great riding, great food
A Taste of Italy: Emilia-Romagna
Great way to see and feel the country and the food was amazing. the restaurants selected by the tour company were all excellent, just a little too much food. the bike paths were also wonderful with very little street riding and when we did need to ride on the street, the traffic was light. The tour company could have given us better instructions regarding use of the GPS and odometer. We were never able to get the odometers to work. we missed the parmigiana tasting since the GPS instructions were not clear. the GPS loop rides were also not clear and we missed the turn offs on a few occasions.

Best of San Francisco E-Bike Tour
John was our tour guide and he was super funny and thought us a lot about San Francisco and it’s history. If you only bike/walk you would miss all this interesting information. The tour gave us a great impression of the city. John always gives you the opportunity to take pictures and take breaks if needed (we didn’t, but it still made us feel good and looked after). 10/10 would do it again!

Tulip Tour on the Magnifique II, III, & IV
Holland at tulip time on bikes and a boat is pretty amazing. Our group was quite small but mixed together very well. Then our guides! Thomas and Hans, along with intern, Angela, added the extra touch with extra night time excursions and extra attention for all.
We did spend an entire day riding in the rain (touring Keurkhoff). In one respect it made the day a bit miserable, but at the same time the rainy day was indicative of Holland and added to the overall experience. Authentic Beautiful Portugal
Algarve Coastal Route
This trip is an amazing challenge by bicycle, from flat country roads to busy tourist towns to the climbing and winding hills and valleys that lead to sweeping views of the sea in Sagres and Cape St. Vincent. My husband and I are long-time cyclists and did a self-guided tour of the Algarve Coast. We found this ride to be challenging and rewarding. Our local representative was super helpful in lending tips and advice. The hotels were A-plus. The luggage transfer was flawless. The GPS device provided by the tour company was a great addition and helped us navigate throughout the trip. Written directions were harder to follow as not all roads are marked with bike route information. You must trust mainly the GPS and fill in with Google maps. The only reason I’m not giving this a 5-star rating is that our bikes were in need of some love. They were good hybrid bikes that could handle rough roads and smooth pavement. We biked on some cloudy, rainy days and it would have been nice to have the Dynamo lights working for safety. We also had some trouble with our chains slipping off the gears, and the suspension being really tight. You want suspension for some of the rougher roads. Otherwise, this was such an amazing trip by bicycle. If you love adventure, check this out.

Loved seeing the music monuments on a bike. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and able to engage with everyone on the tour. Can’t recommend it enough. We were able to stop at each monument to explore it on foot while our guide looked after our bikes.
