Cool towns, friendly people, food is more on seafood side other ships can have more variety apparently. I've done this route - or variations of it - a few times. Highly recommend this e-bike tour to see the "game of thrones" part of Europe. Definitely go for a swim in the Adriatic.

This was a wonderful way to explore the Dalmatian Islands of Croatia. We loved the experience so much so that we are looking to plan the next one soon! Our bike contractor was just wonderful with our fittings and a quick visit to make some adjustments before we left the City of Split. Fantastic team!

A perfect mix of activity, relaxation, and culture

We traveled with two other couples - none of us had been to Croatia before, so it was new for everyone. The convenience of the airport to the port and the detailed instructions on embarking put us all at ease.
Our cabin was comfortable and clean and there was plenty of room fit socializing and games during down time. Our guides were awesome- professional, fun, funny, knowledgeable and very attentive to the group. We were lucky to have a wonderful group from various parts of the world to get to know.
The rides were a good length each day with some challenging terrain, but very doable with ebikes. The tours that were arranged at various ports were a terrific add and each of the towns we were in port at felt safe and easy to explore in.
Overall, this was a trip that was well-priced- not fancy, but safe, clean, and fun.

Amazing Trip!

An incredible way to explore the coast of Croatia, including several islands and national parks. What a beautiful country! Our guides, Tara and Serge were the best - well organized, great communicators, personable and fun! The Magellan is a beautiful boat, well equipped, with a great crew. The food was fabulous. Our e-bikes were very comfortable and the daily mileage was very manageable. It was nice to have time for the walking tours, exploring the towns on our own and eating dinner in the local establishments several nights during the trip. We went at the end of August and the weather was perfect, in the 80s, which meant we could swim off the ship in the Adriatic Sea every day. A big bonus! Definitely recommend this trip with no hesitation.

Let the good times roll!!

The trip was amazing. You could really feel the love for their country coming from our guides. They adjusted itinerary so we got rides in even when the weather threatened to cancel. I feel like they also accommodated the fact that this group really seemed to enjoy swimming int he sea. The ships crew took care of everything in the back ground. Amazing food and service.

Loved the access to small ports on islands. Stari Grad was our favorite. Liked that the trip guide could alter the schedule to avoid crowds. The e bike made this trip easy for us! Could NOT have done it without the ebike!

We are in our 60’s and are not avid bikers. We are active but live in a flat part of the world. I searched the internet and chanced upon this trip with the intent of biking around the islands in Croatia.
It was perfect for us. We had the opportunity to see parts of 5 islands that we would never have seen island hopping on the ferries. Our guides helped to elevate the trip by educating us throughout our adventure.
The boat: very comfortable, clean, AC helped, awesome food-nice variety, kind and thoughtful staff including the captain who gave my husband a tour of the engine room. Additionally, we had the opportunity to jump off the stern and swim in the Adriatic. The common areas allowed folks(21 of us) to congregate in a variety of places….sun deck up top, enclosed dining area, open dining/socializing area and additional bow , stern, port or starboard places. There were bars and clips to hang clothing to dry. We also brought our own elasticized laundry line which was nice.
The food: daily breakfast had a nice variety from yogurt, fruit and granola to eggs, cheeses, bread, veggies, bacon and sausages. The chef could accommodate a couple of folks who had some dietary needs. Sometimes we had lunch or dinner on the boat and a couple of days we had all 3 meals. The food was great and we did NOT lose weight despite our daily energy expenditure!
The crew: kind, always smiling, hard working and willing to help if they could.
The bikes: E-bikes are the best. They made biking up the hilly parts a breeze. One can work as much or as little as desired. One person chose to use a gravel bike…that is not for everyone but our guy was a biking beast!
Free time/other activities: there is plenty of opportunity to take a siesta if needed. The pace is not grueling at all. On the one long day, we had a lunch stop for several hours which included some swim time. There were 3 guided tours at different towns. These were nice to help get a historical perspective as the islands are loaded with history( Diocletian, Marco Polo, Romans, Greeks, aquaducts, midieval castles, etc).
The guides: as mentioned above, they were awesome. Both were from the Dalmatian area and were very knowledgeable. We felt very safe in their hands. Their communication with us was stellar. We always knew what to expect(daily schedules, length and difficulty of rides, bike riding safety tips)and were given recommendations of restaurants, beaches , bars or other places of interest at each port.
We loved the trip and look forward to another with this company. The Magellan crew has set a high bar!!!

Fabulous Croatia

This is our 4th Bike Tours trip and absolutely the best. The Aegean Sea is beautiful, crystal clear and perfect for a swim after a day's ride. Our home for the week, the Magellan, is a super nice motor yacht. The food was top shelf, as was the crew. The bikes were the best and perfect for the variety of biking conditions. Our guides were fun, knowledgeable and made sure that we had a great ride everyday. After we had a long ride, they would find the perfect spot to stop and take a swim. We took an optional day off from riding to go rafting through the deep and beautiful Cetina Canyon. It was so much fun! We had really interesting, guided, tours of Split and Trogir, both ancient towns dating from pre-Christian time. One day we stopped for a visit with a bee keeper who's family had been bee keeping for 90 years. All in all, this was a really great trip, the biking, the food, the water, the boat, the many new friends all made for lasting memories.

Outstanding Bike Tour in Croatia

Wonderful experience

The guides were wonderful! The rides challenging. I rode a regular bike, my wife an e-bike. We were both pleasantly challenged. Only an in shape experienced cyclist should try a regular bike. Elevation gain over distance is considerable. Beautiful views, nice villages.
We had below deck rooms. I don’t recommend them. At one point the sewage backed up into our toilet and the smell was awful. They repaired it in several hours.
The reason given was: it’s an old boat and the seals are not good. There is a new owner who needs to fix this!
Meals were plentiful. Breakfasts very good. Dinners were simple and adequate. Lots of grilled or fried fish and meat.- What was the date of your tour?

The islands are a must see if traveling to Croatia. This tour made it so easy to enjoy. The guides were excellent. They were patient, answered questions thoroughly, did a good job trouble shooting, giving us anticipatory guidance and let us go at the pace that was comfortable to us. We were able to stop frequently for photos. We've never done a guided tour before and planned to DIY on the islands. It would have been much more difficult trying to coordinate catching the few ferries that take bikes if we did it on our own. It was great to not worry about navigation, accommodations, etc. We just pedaled, ate, enjoyed and repeated. Only 3 of us used regular bikes. The other 20+ riders used e-bikes and had varying experience cycling

We did a self guided tour, the tour director met with us and provided interesting info about Croatia, the routes we would follow, accessing the ferries and more. He was very patient as two 70 year olds mastered the GPS route guidance. It was a great tour and nice to come back to our small apartment each day. The apartment host was very accommodating as well.

First Boat/Bike tour; would do it again!

Our guide and boat crew were great. We had some bad weather and they worked together to make up for it by diverting to other islands. We used e bikes with pedal assist; they were very nice bikes. There were extra bikes and batteries in case of problems. There was a nice balance of boat, bike, and independent on shore time

Great great trip

What a great trip. Except for the condition of the "hybrid" bike I had (did not use e-bike), everything about this trip was beyond expectations...cabin, food, support, guides. My wife and I have been on other bike trips and have loved them. This trip was truly the best we have done. Everything was done to make the trip 5 stars. Modifications, when needed, were made with consideration for providing the best experience possible. For the casual rider or not in top notch condition
individual, an e-bike, is a must and will make the riding experience way fun. The islands are beautiful. The ride routes have challenging climbs. Guides were extremely knowledgeable, and supportive. The Romantica is charming and seemed the perfect match and vibe for the itinerary.
There are newer and more "glamorous" ships we encountered, but was glad to be on the Romantica.Highest recommendation.
As noted above, my only negative was the non e-bikes provided us. I am an very experienced rider and the bikes provided (the first one was not in acceptable riding condition, and the second provide was just slightly better) were poorly maintained, with shifters not working properly, rusty chains, etc., the wrong size for me, and the rides would have been way more enjoyable on a "good" bike. E-bikes appeared in good condition and well maintained.
In spite of this, I loved this trip.

Wonderful biking in the islands!

This tour is a wonderful way to ride as much or as little as you want to. The self guided tours are very easy to follow using the app, and the bikes were in excellent condition. Taking the ferries out to the islands each day was very easy, and the islands themselves are very beautiful, with little traffic. Our tour contact, Michael, was very responsive and took care of the minor problems we had very quickly. The lodging was excellent.
