Cycling the West Balkan Triangle
Our 2 guides were excellent. Aleksander led the rides and was very attentive to both the fast riders and the slower riders. Juro drove the van and handle a lot of the logistics; he was very attentive to the details and made sure everything flowed smoothly. They were both very friendly and informative on the local culture.
The ride was beautiful with quite a variety of terrain (coastal ride, bay ride, inland valley). I would recommend an e-bike unless you are in very good shape; the distances aren't huge but some of the hills are big.- What was the date of your tour?

Split to Dubrovnik: The Islands and Coastline of Croatia
This was our group's seventh European self-guided bike tour, and without a doubt the best. From the beginning communication was precise and prompt, planning was perfect. The equipment was excellent the navigation instructions were the best, calls for equipment adjustment were addressed promptly and efficiently

This wonderful tour gave us a complete view of split and surrounding Marjan forests-our guide Anty was knowledgeable and extremely helpful with a great sense of humor-the ride and views were superb.

The fascinating Balkans on bike
Cycling the West Balkan Triangle
We thoroughly enjoyed our introduction to cycling the Balkans. Dubrovnik was a perfect gathering point. We stayed an extra day to explore and were glad we did. Cycling the hills was challenging for those on road bikes; the views were magnificent. The Adriatic was magical and occasionally confined traffic requiring extra caution. Our guides, Alex and Alex, were competent, hardworking, and especially helpful, answering questions and showing us aspects of these countries we would never would have found on our own. There were 14 of us on the tour from ALL OVER, and getting to know them all over the course of the tour was part of the fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Cycling the West Balkan Triangle
We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. The scenery along the coastline and inland was spectacular. We enjoyed riding the ascents and descents but were glad we decided to rent e-bikes. Some of the climbs are challenging.
Our guides ( Alex and Alex) were excellent. They were helpful, informative and kind.
We enjoyed the variety of accommodations along the way - each one unique. The lunches were good- usually very local which we enjoyed.
The only downside comment we have is that several times we had to ride on roads that were heavily trafficked with trucks and cars. This wasn’t a surprise but just rather unpleasant. We realized that it was necessary in order to get to some of the less traveled roads and beautiful scenery.- What was the date of your tour?

First Boat/Bike tour; would do it again!
Pearls of Dalmatia by Bike and Boat, Romantica
Our guide and boat crew were great. We had some bad weather and they worked together to make up for it by diverting to other islands. We used e bikes with pedal assist; they were very nice bikes. There were extra bikes and batteries in case of problems. There was a nice balance of boat, bike, and independent on shore time

Great great trip
Pearls of Dalmatia by Bike and Boat, Romantica
What a great trip. Except for the condition of the "hybrid" bike I had (did not use e-bike), everything about this trip was beyond expectations...cabin, food, support, guides. My wife and I have been on other bike trips and have loved them. This trip was truly the best we have done. Everything was done to make the trip 5 stars. Modifications, when needed, were made with consideration for providing the best experience possible. For the casual rider or not in top notch condition
individual, an e-bike, is a must and will make the riding experience way fun. The islands are beautiful. The ride routes have challenging climbs. Guides were extremely knowledgeable, and supportive. The Romantica is charming and seemed the perfect match and vibe for the itinerary.
There are newer and more "glamorous" ships we encountered, but was glad to be on the Romantica.Highest recommendation.
As noted above, my only negative was the non e-bikes provided us. I am an very experienced rider and the bikes provided (the first one was not in acceptable riding condition, and the second provide was just slightly better) were poorly maintained, with shifters not working properly, rusty chains, etc., the wrong size for me, and the rides would have been way more enjoyable on a "good" bike. E-bikes appeared in good condition and well maintained.
In spite of this, I loved this trip.

Spectacular scenery and towns

Bottom Line: Fabulous Tour. Great Scenery. Very nice hotels and food. Friendly people. You had better be extremely fit if you are not riding an e-bike. 190 miles and over 11,000 feet of climbing. With an e-bike, no problem.
Guides: Alex and Alex (Juro). Fantastic guys. Focused on fun and safety. Very accommodating. We loved them. Great fun and professional.
Bikes: Marvelous e-bikes. Makes the tour possible for many. Powerful and great range. Road bikes a bit dated but light. Rim brakes. 23mm tires. 52/36 11-28T gearing not great for 7 kilometer 7 to 10% climbs. (And the climbs are frequent) Tough to spin.
Routes: Well planned. Some beautiful remote and coastal areas. Some heavy traffic in Hercog Novi area can be a bit intimidating for some. Most areas traffic not an issue. Overnight cities were charming.- What was the date of your tour?

Wonderful biking in the islands!
Split to Dalmatian Islands
This tour is a wonderful way to ride as much or as little as you want to. The self guided tours are very easy to follow using the app, and the bikes were in excellent condition. Taking the ferries out to the islands each day was very easy, and the islands themselves are very beautiful, with little traffic. Our tour contact, Michael, was very responsive and took care of the minor problems we had very quickly. The lodging was excellent.

National Parks of Dalmatia by Bike/E-bike and Boat
This was a great way to see a lot of places in Croatia. The boat crew and guides were fabulous!! The food was amazing, the rooms were very comfortable - so happy to have air conditioning! We had a great group of people on the boat and went away new friends from all over. The e-bikes were necessary because of the hills. I would definitely do another bike cruise with this company!

Danube Experience Bike and Boat Passau-Vienna-Budapest-Belgrade-Iron Gates-Passau
It's so nice to be pampered and set up for success on an adventure that includes zero daily packing/unpacking and great routes on a bike. The meals were way above expectations and the e-bikes were perfect.
It would be nice if the information about fees for ferries, bus, etc. with the required currencies could be included accurately in the pre-trip materials or the navigation app.

Good ride for e bikes.
Venice to Trieste and Istria
This was the best electronic navigation we had ever seen. A phone holder for the bike made the navigation very easy. The weather was extremely hot the week we rode, but there were usually towns at good intervals to stop and hydrate. The local operator was responsive to any needs along the way and gave a good briefing the night before we started riding. The towns we stayed in offered great local flavor to the trip. The hotels were near the beaches so it was nice to swim in the Adriatic Sea at the end of the day. There were several stretches of road with considerable traffic but also a lot of bike paths and back roads with no traffic. The sights along the way were great and made for a memorable trip.
The last day had several hills that would have been challenging without the e-bike assistance. The bikes were in good shape and rode well. Wouldn’t recommend this for a first time cycle trip.
