Balkan bike trip
Cycling the West Balkan Triangle
The first two days were filled with of car, pedestrian and passport control traffic, along with being repetitive. The last few days were more authentic biking and scenery. The hotels were what was expected.

Most Scenic Least Effort Bike Tour Ever!
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
Scenery was incredible every single day. Paths were easy to ride and easy to navigate. Bikes were flawless. Hotels were mostly family run places with lots of local character in great locations with wonderful food and drink. Book it now and thank me later!

Medieval Villages of Catalonia
Beautiful and overall great trip. While our itinerary said we would have 25-37 miles/day, we rode much less, often finishing the day of riding at 1:30 pm. I would have preferred to ride longer, finishing between 3:30-4:00 pm with opportunities for more stops along the way for photos, etc.

I would have enjoyed the tour more if the guides were more knowledgeable about local history, birds, crops, flowers, etc. Our guides were competent riders, but could be better with local knowledge (didn't know when olives were harvested!). Lunches could have been expedited by letting local restaurants know that our group was arriving instead of trying to find a cafe that was open and able to serve such a large group (23). Our best lunch was when the guides called ahead and paella was served family style.

Wonderful bike tour!
Innsbruck to Lake Garda Across the Southern Slopes of the Alps
For perspective, my wife and I are in our early 70's This was our fourth bike tour with BikeTours.com and we absolutely loved it. The scenery was gorgeous, and we loved how we progressed from the snow capped mountains around Innsbruck to the gentler slopes as we approached Lake Garda. The hotels selected for us were wonderful. The bike trails were so well maintained! It seems that this part of the world takes cycling very seriously, as the trails were well used by tourists like us, as well as local sport enthusiasts. The bikes provided were in excellent shape, and luggage transfer was seamless. There were many highlights on this trip, one I will mention in particular were the thermal baths at Merano. We really enjoyed this tour.

Great way to see the countries.
Vienna to Budapest (Classic)
We were part of a group of eight people. Ride was lovely, scenery, small towns very nice. Hotels were good, breakfast always a nice way to start the day. I have only one complaint..we were told that we would recieve a printed guide map upon arrival. We did not. We asked for one or two for those that were counting on it, never recieved the maps. A bit dissapointing considering the size of our group and because we had been told in corrrespondence that such map would be provided. This should have been corrected, easily, and it was not.

Beautiful scenery, fabulous hotel, good routes
Bicycle Paths of the Dolomites (based in one hotel)
It was a self-guided tour with residential stay at Belleview Hotel in Dobbiaco. Hotel boasts fantastic views and fine cuisine dining. Everyone was extremely helpful and welcoming. The routes were well-thought through, with a minibus taking us there or back on some days (saving the need to cycle uphill). Really enjoyed the scenery and the culture. The company app was a great help on finding the way too! The only thing that we were not absolutely happy about were the loose gravel tracks which at times were slippery and not safe for a less experienced cyclist - but the most of routes run (at least partially) on paved paths and are a joy to ride.

Not our best trip
Wild Atlantic Way Cycling
While the country and scenery are spectacular, I would not recommend this trip to the average E bike tourist. Thoughts over all; too much traffic, below average accommodations, weather preparedness has to be considered.

Berlin to Copenhagen interesting and okay
Berlin – Copenhagen
This tour could have been so much better if we had better bikes that were better maintained. Additionally, we had to convert all the gpx files to Ride with GPS ourselves. The routes were good but it would have been nice if more places to stop and eat or grab something were indicated along the way. Also more things to see should have been available. The books and maps were cumbersome.

Great Crete Trip
Aegean Discovery: Cycling through Eastern Crete
Well-curated trip with right balance of gorgeous and varied scenery (mountains, orchards, seaside/ocean views), archeological sites, daily distances, and elevation changes. Bicycles were in tip-top shape to tackle hills and valleys, and routes were easy to follow with the Ride with GPS. Accommodations were well above average for 3 star hotels, and breakfast offerings (especially Greek yogurt with preserved fruits) were divine. Only small glitches on the time of bike delivery/outfitting on day 1.

Amazing trip!
Medieval Villages of Catalonia
Absolutely wonderful tour along the Costa Brava. Daniel was an amazing host - incredibly responsive, attentive, and helpful (he swapped out two of our cyclist's bikes for e-bikes in the middle of the trip). I would say that the destinations were, at times, better than the routes themselves. The mediterranean sea was STUNNING, as were the medieval villages, but the routes took us through dry, hot landscapes. The final day was also a highlight - summiting a famous girona cycling route to Els Angels. The routes always felt safe and very doable (in terms of distance and difficulty). I would recommend an e-bike as there were plenty of rolling hills, and very high elevation gain on the final day. Highly recommend this trip to anyone!

Fields of dreams!!
Piedmont Region: The Italian Garden of Eden
The itinerary had a few towns but most was on Beautiful paths and roads through farm lands and vineyards. Wheat, rice, poplars, grapes, poppies and roses!! So pretty! The hotels were good in terms of services but an upgrades option would be nice, as well. Food and wine amazing!!!
The difficulty of the trip was as expected - on the hard side- but e-bikes made it much easier. It was super hot when we were there even though it was early summer!
The ride from La Mora to Barolo was one of the best I have ever been on!- Countries included in this tour?

Overall tour was terrific. Beautiful little towns, fantastic scenery, great accommodations. And a fair value. I would recommend to anyone.
One piece of constructive feedback, in general terms and then in specifics:
Our group of 24, while fit and capable, is a little older and a little more interested in historical background and local flavor. Our interest is more on the "tour" side of bike tour. Our guides did not really pick up on that. They were more on the "bike" side of bide tour and a little more focused on simply getting us from point to point. They were knowledgeable, friendly and great to be around, but maybe not ideally matched for our group.
This played out on the last day, our climb of Els Angeles. This is a significant effort and many of us were looking forward to, embraced and attacked the challenge. Our guides, however, did not handle the situation in regard to those in our group who clearly were going to make it to the top. One of our group, on a standard bike, struggled, overheated and ended up walking most of the way. Our sweeper, on an e-bike, was then forced to also push her heavy e-bike up the mountain to stay with him. All while our two guides waited at the top. Clearly on that day, one of the guides should have been the sweeper. At the very least, having summited, one of the guides should have descended and taken over for the sweeper.
There was nothing to be done for the struggling gentleman pushing his bike uphill - it was a hot day and he overheated. He is fit and generally capable, but was having a rough time that day. However, better process from the guides would have prevented our other person from having to push her e-bike up the mountain.- What was the date of your tour?

Fantastic trip!
Balkan Treasures
The rides, hotels, shuttles, bikes and local trip coordinator were all great. The hotels were beyond our expectations. We felt that we had an amazing trip for a very reasonable price. We bought our own bike mirrors which we were very pleased to have since it was only the two of us riding together and sometimes the traffic was a bit tricky.

Post college graduation trip
Innsbruck to Salzburg: Through the Alps Along River Cycle Trails
This was a fantastic trip for two families - one had prior bike trip experience and one was new to the bike tour world. We flew into Munich and spent a day exploring prior to training to Innsbruck. We were super fortunate with the weather as it had snowed in Innsbruck the week prior but we had a full week of sun with only a few showers on the rest day in Zell am See. Picking up the bikes in Innsbruck was easy - Chris at Crazybikez made sure that everyone had a good fit and provided us with the repair kit. The bikes are touring bikes - comfortable, but nothing speedy. I wouldn't want to try and climb hills for extended periods with them. Aside from a single flat on the last day, they performed admirably. When you check in at the hotel, the group was usually listed as BestSeller Reiser instead of the family name. All the hotels were enjoyable with easy bike storage, yummy breakfast, and the luggage transfer went off without incident. At each hotel, expect to pay a per person tourism tax - usually about 4 euro per person. I strongly encourage using the provided GPS routes as opposed to the guidebook for active routing, but the book does provide some information for interesting side trips. Chris told us to visit the town of Hall the first day and the Swarovski Crystal Museum. Take the time to ride up to Mayrhofen on day 2 prior to the transfer from Zell am Ziller to Krimml. The gorges and cave between Zell am See and Lofer were fun to explore. Make sure to take advantage of the various SummerCards that the hotels will provide. In Krimml it gets you into the waterfalls, in Zell am See - the boat tour, gondola to the top of the ski area, and the beach park, in Lofer - the gondola. The extra day in Zell am See is well worth it. We also spent an extra day at the end to explore Salzburg before taking the train back to Munich. We never had to reach out to the local support but the guidebook packets were received at the hotel in Innsbruck provided us with contact information if needed. I would definitely use biketours.com again
