Cycle through lush landscapes towards the Czech Republic’s most famous fairy-tale castle

Experience the beauty of the Czech countryside and one of the country's most magnificent gothic castles on the Karlstejn Castle E-Bike Tour Prague. Cycle out of Prague's New Town along the Vltava and Berounka Rivers, through lush Czech countryside and traditional villages before arriving at the imposing Karlsteijn Castle, with the opportunity to explore the interior and its grounds. This bike tour covers 35 km but with flat terrain, a gentle pace and the helpful boost of your e-bike, it's a family-friendly day tour that will leave you with plenty of energy for the rest of the day.

You'll pass south-west out of the city center on this bike tour, through Prague's New Town, where your guide will point out the significant sites and landmarks along the way. Heading out of the city and into rolling fields, you'll follow the course of the Vltava and Berounka Rivers, stopping at several points on the trip to admire particularly scenic spots and native wildlife.

As you journey towards Karlstejn Castle you'll pass through several Czech villages en route, where you'll have the option to stop for a refreshment break and admire the slower pace of life in these small communities. After arriving in Karlstejn village, with its population of 800, you'll stop for a traditional Czech lunch at a local restaurant.

Leaving your bike behind, you'll walk for around 15 minutes up to the castle grounds to explore the gothic fortress. Built by King Karel IV in 1348, the castle is famous for housing the imperial jewels and his collection of holy relics. Your knowledgeable guide will introduce you to the castle's history and show you around the exterior.

You'll also have the option to take a guided tour of the castle's interior if you wish to learn more and admire the ornate, Gothic interiors of this enormous structure. The hilltop position of Karlstejn Castle adds to its fairy-tale allure and provides unrivaled views of the countryside towards Prague. At the end of the bicycle tour, you'll return to Prague by train, giving you a moment to relax and reflect on your sightseeing journey to one of the Czech Republic's most popular castles.

There's no better way to enjoy the idyllic terrain between Prague and the mystical Karlstejn Castle than by e-bike. Encompassing a city tour, a countryside ride, and an encounter with the Czech Republic's most enchanting castle, this e-bike tour is the perfect day out.
