    • Pedal through Pisa’s parkland paradise

Just a few kilometers from the center of Pisa is one of Tuscany's most breathtaking regional parks. Discover the Italianate oasis of San Rossore by bike on this day tour from Pisa, including opportunities to see native wildlife in its natural habitat and a stop at the artisanal food shop Bottega del Parco, situated in the park's grounds. With the added benefit of bike rental, pedaling to the parks of Pisa couldn’t be easier!

Starting from the historic center of Pisa, you'll cycle around 4 kilometers along flat roads at a gentle pace to reach the grassy slopes of San Rossore. As you enter the park, you'll immediately be immersed in a dense forest of fragrant pine trees, providing refreshing shade from the Tuscan sun.

San Rossore Park boasts well-manicured lawns, winding paths, and serene lakes. The park is also steeped in history, having once served as the summer residence of the presidents of Italy. This guided tour will make stops at some of the historic buildings, including the former presidential villa, which now houses the park's administration.

On this bike tour you’ll cycle past thickets of Mediterranean nature as your guide draws your attention to the habitats of deer, wild boar, and white ibis. Enjoy this rare opportunity to see these animals up close in their favored surroundings.

After some time cycling through the forest, you'll arrive at the ‘Bottega del Parco’, a quaint shop that sells local products. Here, you can taste a variety of foods that are typical of Tuscany, including ‘mucco pisano’, a local breed of cattle known for its tender meat, and pine nuts, popular in many regional dishes. These gourmet ingredients are produced by local artisans using traditional methods, and you can buy them to eat in the splendid grounds of the park or to take away as tasty souvenirs of your trip.
