Pedal around Pisa’s icons

For your one-stop-shop of Pisa’s picture-perfect sightseeing spots, look no further than the Pisa & Leaning Tower Bike Tour! This guided bicycle tour, with the added benefit of bike rental, not only takes in the famous icon of Pisa, but also the Lungarni, San Gallo, the ancient walls and city center, the Keith Haring mural, and the staggering Piazza del Duomo.

The Leaning Tower of Pisa is the city’s most famous symbol and one of the most photographed landmarks in Europe. The tower, built on an unstable foundation, has an incredible four degree lean which began right when it was first constructed in the 12th Century. Let your guide lead you on to the Lungarni for a leisurely ride along the riverfront - as you breathe in the fresh breeze and cast your eyes over varied, beautiful architecture, you’ll feel like you’re gliding between ancient and modern.

Cycle on to the San Gallo and discover a commanding bastion along the city’s ancient walls. You’re now in the historic city center of Pisa, where your guide will lead you to the most legendary sightseeing spots, including exquisite examples of Romanesque and Medieval architecture. For something much more modern, you’ll park your bicycle up at the Keith Haring mural, a fun, colorful artistic explosion of the rear wall of the Sant’Antonio Abate Church. Named ‘Tuttomondo’, this exuberant mural was one of the last produced by the American artist before his tragic death from AIDS-related complications in 1990.

Your dynamic day tour rounds off with a pedal to the Piazza del Duomo, also known as the Piazza dei Miracoli. Within this walled complex, you’ll find some of the most remarkable examples of architecture anywhere in the world, including Pisa Cathedral, Pisa Baptistry, the Campanile, and the Camposanto Monumentale. An important center of medieval art, the Piazza del Duomo will take your breath away with its staggeringly beautiful buildings, all standing in this exquisite UNESCO World Heritage Site. Unmissable.

Interesting ride through Pisa

“Guide was well informed and made sure to take us through safe areas. We were able to see many things outside the main square and learned alot of great info.”
