An overload of outstanding natural and man-made beauty

Take a guided day tour from magnificent Marseille to the captivating Calanques, soaking up the best of the city, sensational seaside views, and captivating cliff-faces along the way! This breathtaking bicycle tour is family-friendly, with the added benefit of bike rental! You’ll take in Marseille City Center, Pharo Palace, Auffes Valley, Corniche Kennedy, Prado Beach, Montredon, Goudes, Cap Croisette, Calanque de Callelongue, Borely Park, and the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde. If you want to make the most of Marseilles, this is the e-bike tour for you!

Pushing off in the center of Marseilles, take in the city’s spectacular sightseeing spots before pedaling to the Palais du Pharo, built in 1858 by Emperor Napoleon III to please Empress Eugénie. Your e-bike tour ventures on to the gorgeous fishing village known as Vallon des Auffes, filled with fishermen’s cabins and traditional ‘pointu’ boats. This serene seascape is guaranteed to take your breath away with its natural coastal beauty - gaze out over shorelines dotted with brightly colored boats and admire outstanding ocean views. You’re riding in the area of the Corniche Kennedy, a region of spectacular viewpoints named in honor of the assassinated US President.

Prado Beach is the largest beach in Marseille, with pebbles glinting in the sunshine as the Mediterranean laps its aquamarine waters up towards the promenade. Ride along to Montredon, a charming seaside district also famed for its beautiful beaches - this is the best of Marseille’s beachside beauty! At the port of Goudes there’s the optional stop at a fish restaurant to refuel before cycling to the captivating Cap Croisette. Few words exist to do justice to the astonishing beauty of these rugged cliffs, whose white faces are in sublime contrast with the surrounding turquoise waters. This is a unique view that will stay with you for many years to come!

Your e-bike tour reaches the Calanque de Callelongue, a picturesque port nestled within commanding white cliffs boasting exceptionally beautiful views of the Med. Bike on to Borely Park, where trees create wooded alleys alongside the canals, weaving you between the English and French Gardens. With fabulous fountains and even a castle, this is a real gem for your guided tour to explore!

Your epic day tour finishes with a bang at the Basilica of Notre-Dame de la Garde, the most famous symbol of Marseille. Built on the foundations of the highest natural point in the city, the basilica, known affectionately by locals as La Bonne Mère (‘The Good Mother’), watches earnestly over the city beneath. The upper church, built in the Neo-Byzantine style, is richly decorated with mosaics, and features a tower 41m high, supporting a 12.5m belfry, topped with a 11.2m copper statue of the Madonna and Child in glinting gold leaf!

Great trip to see it all!

“The perfect way to see Marseille. Bring a bathing suit, and I would skip the lunch and get it at the bakery on route. Our tour guide was phenomenal!”
