    Day 1: Arrival in Naarden
Arrive in the historic fortress town of Naarden, known for its impressive star-shaped defenses. Take in the town's centuries-old charm and relax in its typically Dutch, tranquil atmosphere.

    Day 2: Naarden – Utrecht (31 mi. / 50 km)
Your journey begins on well-packed gravel trails. Winding through tranquil forests and open heathlands, today’s route offers a taste of the stunning landscapes to come. The ride ends in Utrecht, a lively university city where canals, cobbled streets, and the iconic Dom Tower create a captivating atmosphere. Many locals consider Utrecht a more charming alternative to Amsterdam.

    Overnight in Utrecht.

    Day 3: Utrecht – Rhenen (38 mi. / 58 km)
Today, you’ll traverse the rolling terrain of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a forested ridge formed during the Ice Age. This route provides sweeping views over river valleys and dense woodlands, showing a different side of the Netherlands. Enjoy the gravel paths and scenic trails, with charming villages along the way offering perfect spots to refuel with coffee and apple pie. You’ll soon reach Rhenen, a picturesque town on the banks of the Rhine, where nature and history blend seamlessly.

    Overnight in Rhenen.

    Day 4: Rhenen – Otterlo (38 mi. / 58 km)
In Hoge Veluwe National Park - a vast expanse of forests, sand dunes, and heathlands - keep an eye out for red deer, wild boar, and even mouflons roaming freely. Midway through the park, take time to visit the Kröller-Müller Museum, home to one of the world’s largest Van Gogh collections and a stunning sculpture garden. After soaking in the art and nature, your ride finishes in Otterlo, where you can unwind at a cozy wellness retreat on the park’s edge.

    Overnight in Otterlo.

    Day 5: Otterlo – Harderwijk (38 mi. / 58 km)
The route today takes you across the vast Veluwe, leading to the Radio Kootwijk, an architectural relic from the early 20th century. Once a crucial communication hub for the Netherlands and its former colonies, this building stands isolated in the heathlands, offering a surreal backdrop to your ride. From here, cycle through a mix of dense forests and open moorlands before reaching the Hanseatic town of Harderwijk. The peaceful gravel paths and ever-changing scenery make this an unforgettable leg of the journey.

    Day 6: Harderwijk – Zwolle (41 mi. / 66 km)
Your final day of cycling takes you along some of the best gravel routes of the tour. Before reaching Zwolle, make a stop in Hattem, a town with deep historical roots. In the late 18th century, it was a center for political change, and today it intrigues visitors with its well-preserved streets and a sweet bakery museum. From Hattem, the route crosses the IJssel River, with the skyline of Zwolle appearing in the distance. This vibrant Hanseatic city marks the end of your adventure.
