Classic Frankfurt Bike Tour
Get the full flavor of Frankfurt
Your go-to bike tour for everything Frankfurt has to offer, from its 'Mainhattan' skyline to the architectural gems nestled among Germany's most important financial institutions. Enjoy the benefits of bike rental and a family-friendly day tour suitable for children.
“Äppelwoi” (apple wine) was invented in the south of Frankfurt when the district was awash with orchards, and the tipple has remained tantamount to a way of life in Hesse ever since. You’ll receive pointers to the best taverns from your guide as you cycle around Sachsenhausen neighborhood, now a hive of trendy cafes, bars and traditional restaurants buzzing with life.
Riding on to the Malerviertel, take in the fascinating facades of the Städelsche Kunstinstitut, Liebieghaus, and Museum of Applied Art – Frankfurt’s world-class artistic hotspot. Onwards to Old Town where, from the Römer, you can gaze out over the glorious New Old Town, Königsweg, and the Frankfurt “Dom”, whose cathedral spire forms a spectacular feature of Frankfurt’s skyline.
Pedal on to the stunning neoclassical Paulskirche before cycling through the Großer Hirschgraben to the Goethehaus – that’s right, famous poet Johann Wolfgang von Goethe was born and raised right here in Innenstadt!
Your guided bicycle tour continues along the Green Avenue Ring, lying on what used to be the city’s medieval line of defense. Now, spacious cycle paths allow for leisurely gliding through the veins of Frankfurt to the Neue and Alte Oper, where high-rise towers command the imagination. The famous bull and bear statues facing off outside the Old Stock Exchange provide a perfect photo opportunity.
An unmistakable feature of Frankfurt’s skyline is the European Central Bank, a glittering glass tower sending a rippling reflection onto the Main. Cycle over the elegant new bridge back to the river’s south bank, where your wonderful day tour concludes.

Diverse & Educational Biking Experience
This was a fun, diverse, and educational biking experience which taught me a lot about the history and culture of Frankfurt. From the get-go, Simon was an energetic, friendly, and enthusiastic guide who led me across one of Frankfurt's famous bridges and immediately began divulging the history of the city (he was born and raised in the suburbs). As one of Germany's 'newest' cities (having been badly bombed during WWII), Frankfurt has 19 out of 20 of Germany's tallest buildings and is nicknamed 'Mainhattan' because of its skyscrapers.
Between the newer buildings, the banks (which make Frankfurt Germany's financial center), and the parks, Frankfurt has a lot of beautiful architecture that I enjoyed visiting, from the cathedral to Goethe's house, the Town Hall to the Opera House.
Simon was friendly and clearly knew his stuff when it came to the city. The e-bikes were fantastic quality.
I would highly recommend this tour to those wanting to get to know Frankfurt from a local perspective - it's perfect for discovering Frankfurt's architectural gems.

More of an educational tour with some bike riding and swerving through too many people
A quick way to get the city center/financial district's information. I didn't know that was what we signed up for, but it filled up our morning before check in. Not a whole lot of riding, we stopped many times so our guide could give us information on the history, buildings, war and even compared Hitler to our President which was not appreciated.
