     Tour Description Daily Program

  • Daily program

Day 1: Arrival in Hurghada – El Gouna
Arrive at Hurghada International Airport, where you’ll be met and assisted through entry formalities before transferring to the resort town of El Gouna on the Red Sea coast. Often called “Egypt’s Venice,” El Gouna is known for its lagoons and marinas. Settle into your seaside hotel and meet your tour director for an introduction to the journey ahead. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner and your first taste of Egyptian hospitality.

Day 2: El Gouna Loop Ride (18 mi. / 29 km)
After a professional bike fitting, head out on your first ride through El Gouna’s waterfront paths and quiet streets. Pedal along marinas, canals, and palm-lined avenues with views of the Red Sea – one of the world’s greatest marine ecosystems. The ride is a gentle introduction to cycling in Egypt and to your e-bike. Spend the afternoon at leisure with options to snorkel coral reefs, swim in the sea, or relax by the pool. In the evening, stroll through El Gouna Marina before enjoying dinner at the hotel or one of the town’s many restaurants.

Day 3: El Gouna – Dendera – Luxor
Travel inland to the Nile Valley, where you’ll visit the Temple of Dendera, one of Egypt’s best-preserved temple complexes. Famous for its astronomical ceiling and zodiac carvings, it offers fascinating insight into ancient Egyptian cosmology. Continue to Luxor, ancient Thebes, and the once capital of Egypt’s New Kingdom. Board your premium Nile ship and settle into your floating hotel for the next leg of your journey. Enjoy dinner onboard as you begin your Nile cruise through Upper Egypt.

Day 4: Luxor East Bank Ride (16 mi. / 26 km)
Cycle through Luxor to reach the vast Karnak Temple complex, a site built over more than 2,000 years by successive rulers. Walk among colossal columns in the Great Hypostyle Hall before riding through farmland along canals fed by the Nile. After a picnic lunch, visit Luxor Temple, which glows warmly in the late afternoon light. This evening, return to the ship for dinner and enjoy traditional music and dance onboard.

    Day 5: Luxor – Esna Ride (32 mi. / 51 km)
Ride along peaceful Nile-side roads past sugarcane fields, palm groves, and farming villages, which have remained largely unchanged over generations. Lunch is served outdoors before arriving in Esna, home to the Temple of Khnum, dedicated to the god who's believed to have fashioned humanity on a potter’s wheel. Explore the market before returning to your ship and continuing south along the Nile.

    Day 6: Kom Ombo – Aswan Ride (19 mi. / 31 km)
Disembark early to explore the unique Temple of Kom Ombo, devoted to both Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon god. The riverside location once attracted real crocodiles, and the nearby museum displays preserved specimens. After sailing onward to Aswan, cycle through a Nubian village on the West Bank and visit a local school to meet residents and learn about Nubian culture. Cross the river at sunset in a traditional felucca before dinner and a Nubian music performance onboard.

Day 7: Aswan Exploration Ride (22 mi. / 35 km)
Begin with a motorboat journey through Aswan’s nature reserve, filled with birdlife and granite islands. Cycle past ancient quarries where monumental statues were carved, then continue to the Aswan High Dam, one of the largest engineering projects of the 20th century. Visit Philae Temple, beautifully relocated to an island after rising waters threatened the site. Return to your ship for a relaxed evening on the Nile.

    Day 8: Edfu – Monastery Ride (13 mi. / 21 km)
Visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the best-preserved temple sites in Egypt. Its towering pylons and reliefs vividly depict ancient religious life. Continue by bike to Saint Bakhamious Monastery, where monks still follow traditional Coptic practices. This evening, enjoy a festive Galabeya Party on board.

Day 9: Luxor West Bank Ride (29 mi. / 46 km)
Cross the Nile to the West Bank and ride through desert foothills toward the Valley of the Kings, burial place of Egypt’s most powerful rulers. Visit several painted tombs before continuing to the Temple of Hatshepsut, dramatically set against limestone cliffs. Cycle past artisan workshops where alabaster carving remains a living craft. Celebrate your final night on the Nile with a farewell dinner onboard.

    Day 10: Luxor – Cairo
Fly to Cairo and explore the Citadel of Saladin, which offers panoramic views of the city. Visit the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali and wander through the historic districts of Old Cairo. Settle into your hotel this evening.

Day 11: Saqqara & Coptic Cairo
Visit the Step Pyramid of Djoser at Saqqara, considered the world’s oldest stone monument. Tour artisan workshops nearby before heading to Coptic Cairo, home to some of the earliest Christian churches in the world. Return to your hotel for leisure and independent dining.

Day 12: Giza Plateau Ride (4 mi. / 7 km)
Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime cycling experience across the Giza Plateau – an area typically closed to bicycles. Ride beside the Great Pyramids and stand before the Sphinx. Later, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum, showcasing relics from King Tutankhamun and thousands of years of Egyptian civilization. Celebrate your journey with a farewell dinner.

    Day 13: Cairo Departure
Transfer to Cairo International Airport for your flight home.
