Take on the Tigre Delta

This bike tour is a Porteño experience like no other as you pedal north out of the city, through the enchanting woods of Palermo, and venture into the impressive Tigre Delta. Start with a stop at Lago de Regatas, then visit Casa de los Ombues, San Isidro cathedral, and Puerto de Frutos, before swapping the saddle for a kayak on the Tigre Delta. You'll kayak to a stop in Parque Recreativo El Alcazar for a lunch in true Argentine style: a traditional ‘asado’ barbeque!

Lago de Regatas is your first stop on this city tour. This serene lake was constructed for water sports competitions and training, making it a significant venue for rowing and regatta events in the city.

From here, you'll ride to the station where you'll board a train to San Isidro. From here, your bicycle tour takes in this neighborhood, renowned for its elegant colonial architecture and leafy boulevards. Pedal through streets lined with historic mansions and stop to admire the Neo-Gothic San Isidro Cathedral and mesmerizing views over the Río de la Plata.

Ride on to Casa de los Ombues, a historic aristocrat's house designed in Andalusian style. Marvel at this architectural gem's grandeur and soak in its garden's tranquillity before your day tour pedals onwards.

Cycle on to the captivating Tigre Delta, a labyrinth of waterways and islands. En route, you'll pass by Puerto de Frutos, a vibrant riverside market in Tigre. This bustling hub is known for its handicrafts, fresh produce, and artisanal goods. Your guide will give you time to browse the stalls, get a sense of the local culture, and perhaps find a unique souvenir to bring back home.

At this point, it's time to hop out of the saddle and into the kayak for 45 minutes of paddling through the narrow, peaceful channels. Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the delta and marvel at how Buenos Aires's bustling center suddenly feels hours away.

Your kayak route will stop at Parque Recreativo El Alcazar. This island in the delta is the location for your epic Argentine BBQ lunch. Savor the flavors of the traditional ‘asado’ while enjoying the tranquil surroundings of the island. With over 300 islands in the Tigre Delta, this is a truly special setting to feast upon the steaks that are so beloved in Argentine cuisine, though there are always vegetarian options too! After lunch, you'll kayak back to your point of departure on the Tigre. Board a train back into the city, before pedaling the final stretch back to where your day tour began.
