Immerse yourself in Barbados’ iridescent island beauty
Bike to the best of Barbados on this sublimely scenic electric mountain bike tour!
This idyllic and immersive day tour will take you on a spellbinding cycle through the most magnificent landscapes on the island, from the stunning hidden coves, secluded beaches, and spectacular cliffs of the South Coast to the charm and beauty of the Chancery Lane Wetlands and Oistins fishing village. For your culture and history hits, your guided tour gives you the chance to check out the stunning Christ Church Parish Church and a remarkable rum shop.
Beginning in buzzing Bridgetown - Barbados’ captivating capital - you’ll ease into your electric mountain bike adventure with a cycle down to the sublime South Coast and the charming fishing village of Oistins. Once the heart of the island’s fishing community, Oistins - with its translucent waters and pristine white-sand beaches - is still known for its spectacular seafood, served up in the bustling bars that jostle with the lively rum shops for the most idyllic island vistas.
Cruising further along the coast, allow your E-MTB to take all the effort out of the adventure, ensuring you can soak up the stunning view of the picturesque South Point Lighthouse. This characteristically red-and-white-striped lighthouse stands proud as an icon of Barbados’ south coast, boasting breathtaking panoramas of the stunning shoreline and rippling Atlantic Ocean.
Continue onwards to explore the rugged beauty of the coastal cliffs, dipping down into the sublime environs of Barbados’ iridescent hidden coves and paradisal palm-lined beaches that lie off the beaten track. These are the luxurious island landscapes that your dreams are made of!
Your enchanting E-MTB tour then leads you to the Chancery Lane Wetlands for a look at a magical landscape used as an idyllic layover for birds migrating to and from the expanses of North America.
Then, for your dose of culture and history, your dazzling day tour takes you onwards to explore the Christ Church Parish Church. Not only is this spectacular church impressive in its scale, but it bears an intriguing and slightly chilling history - coffins are said to move around inexplicably within the sealed Chase Vault, and the church has fallen victim to a frightening recurrence of disasters, including a flood in 1669, hurricanes in 1780 and 1831, and a fire in 1935. The Barbadians are proud that Christ Church Parish Church has endured these extraordinary setbacks to remain a remarkable feature of the South Coast.
Your final rewarding experience along your electric bike tour is a tantalizing trip to an old-fashioned local rum shop for an insight into this iconic Caribbean tipple.
Go on - pedal into paradise!
