Surface and terrain
The stages are designed so that there is enough time to experience everything. Some stages are moderately hilly. Otherwise, the route is mainly level along paved cycle paths close to the lake. The path runs partially along the lakeshore and partially along lakeshore roads. On occasion there are short, unfortified sections. Around Friedrichshafen, the cycle path runs parallel to the highway. The lakeshore is mostly open to the public.
Because of the more challenging sections, we recommend this tour for young people only in good physical condition.
