Your electric bike tour begins in the heart of Alesund city center and proceeds through the old part of the town, Aspøya, past quintessential, colorful houses, wondrous waterways, and captivating cultural hotspots. A partner of the Art Nouveau Network, Ålesund’s architecture is romantic as well as remarkably consistent. The town’s most famous street, Jugendstilsenteret, is symbolic of this architectural style, and symbolizes Kaiser Wilhelm of Germany’s legacy in the area, the Kaiser having vacationed in Sunnmøre and encouraged the rebuilding of the town. To honor the Kaiser’s influence, one of Ålesund’s most popular streets is named after Wilhelm.

You’ll bike over a beautiful bridge as you venture to the idyllic island of Hessa, defined by the sensational Sukkertoppen mountain rising resplendently from its center. You’ll enjoy an entrancing exploration of the island, complete with insightful commentary from your friendly, knowledgeable guide.
