This remarkable electric mountain bike tour is a fascinating biking experience providing not only history but also unforgettable natural vistas when you reach the top of Mount Foia!
Your dynamic day tour kicks off with a visit to the historical village of Monchique which dates back to the Roman period and is renowned for its natural watersprings. Regarded fondly as one of the most peaceful villages in the Algarve, Monchique is famous not only for the healing powers of its ‘magical’ waters, but also for its legacy as a honey and medronho producing town.
Cycle along the scenic roads surrounding Monchique before you hit the spectacular climb up Foia, the highest peak in south Portugal. Your electric mountain bike will make efficient work of the incline and you’ll be rewarded by the phenomenal vistas atop this awe-inspiring mountain - savor panoramic views over the ocean to the south, the rural landscapes to the north, and even the city of Portimao in the distance.
