Day 1: Arrival to Marmaris
Individual arrival to Marmaris. Check-in on board begins at 2 pm. Use the afternoon for a stroll through the town and its famous bazaar. The tour begins with a communal dinner on board.
Overnight near Marmaris.
Day 2: Marmaris - Sarsala (22 miles/35 km)
Ship ahoy! A short two-hour cruise brings us to a picturesque swimming bay. From here we will traverse a high pass in the Dalaman plain by bike, on route to Sarsala, a quiet bay.
Overnight near Sarsala.
Day 3: Sarsala - Fethiye (20 miles/32 km)
After breakfast you embark on a ships crossing which takes you past a scattered array of smaller islands until you reach Gemiler – also known as the Island of St. Nikolas – where a 5th Century church stands in his memory.
Your bike tour winds its way through pine forests until you reach the 1922 abandoned Greek City of Kayaköy, once home to 6,500 inhabitants. The tour then leads you onwards to the Ölüdeniz lagoon, an expansive beach which reminds many of the ‘Golden Horn’ on Brač in Croatia.
After a refreshing break it is your choice to continue on a beautiful yet demanding tour to the Lycian rock tombs set into the cliffs high above the city, where the awe inspiring Temple grave of the Amyntas can be marvelled at.
A rewarding descent takes you to the comfort of the ship. The evening can be spent taking a stroll through the city streets; recommended are the alleyways of the old town located by the Eski Cami Mosque.
Overnight near Fethiye.
Day 4: Fethiye - Gocek (25 miles/40 km)
A transfer by bus (50 min) takes you to the starting point for today’s bike tour: Xanthos. By bike you will reach the Sakklikent Canyon where a riverside restaurant invites you to refuel and relax before you explore the Canyon on foot.
Back in the company of your bike the tour takes you northwards to Kemer. Here a bus will collect you and your bike and a 30 minute transfer will bring you back to Fethiye where the ship awaits. Back on board the boat you will have time to unwind and relax as you head towards Göcek, one of the most important harbours along the Southern Turkish coat; your harbour for the night.
Overnight near Gocek.
Day 5: Gocek - Ekineik (25 miles/40 km)
The bike route from Göcek leads you up a winding pass which offers a beautiful view of the bay. Quiet roads snake their way through thriving fields and lush vegetation to your destination of Dalyan. An outing boat collects you and the bikes and takes you on a half hour tour along the Dalyan Delta past imposing Lycian rock tombs to a nearby island where the boat awaits your arrival.
Overnight near Ekineik.
Day 6: Kaunos - Ekincik (25 miles/40 km)
After breakfast you start the day by taking a small crossing on the outing boat to the vicinity of Kaunos. The first destination of today’s tour is the ruins of this once thriving city. Where once a well-protected harbour lay on the banks of the Köycegiz Lake, now lies only a vast swamp. The acropolis is all that remains to tell of this city's earlier fortune.
The tour takes you further towards Ekincik where a thermal bath invites you for a swim stop along the way. The last stretch of the tour leads you away from the lake side in the direction of Ekincik.
Overnight near Ekincik.
Day 7: Ekincik - Marmaris (20 miles/32 km)
After a two hour crossing in the morning sun you reach the peninsula of Bozborun by boat. A winding road takes you above sea level to a small mountain village with a 1500 year old sycamore tree and a small bazar which you can visit on foot. After climbing again you are rewarded with the descent along the coastal road to Icmeler. The tour then continues towards Marmaris where the boat awaits you for a relaxed evening meal together with fellow travellers and tour guides.
Overnight near Marmaris.

Traveling by plane to Dalman
Traveling by plane is the fastest, cheapest and most comfortable way to get to Turkey. The closest airport for this trip is Dalaman. There are scheduled flights as well as chartered flights to Dalaman (www.condor.de or www.tuifly.com from German Airports). All flights are non-smoking flights. If there is no flight to Dalaman, Izmir is another possible airport.
From our experience, there is a 50% chance that chartered planes will change their scheduled flight times. The respective travel agent will directly inform you of any such changes. Set flight times are only really available with scheduled flights and these are generally much more expensive.
If possible, please choose a return flight that does not depart until early or late afternoon to ensure a stress-free return to your home country.

Straddling Asia and Europe, Turkey is a fascinating and a welcoming blend of East and West. Istanbul represents the appeal of Turkey – the melding of ancient history with 21st-century amenities and attractions. Many go to Turkey to see the ancient ruins – testaments to Turkey's diverse and storied history and the influence of Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman empires. Religious iconography and art are plentiful in the country’s many stunning mosques, synagogues, and churches. Turkish architecture sets an exotic eastern tone with its many domes and vibrant mosaics, and its markets are full of colorful treasures waiting to be discovered.
Turkey's substantial coastlines along the Mediterranean, Aegean, and Black Seas give its beaches a Riviera-like ambiance. The crystal blue waters of Turkish beaches are reminiscent of neighboring Greece, but the port towns and seaside villages have a distinctly Turkish flavor.
Island Hopping by bike and boat has been organized by Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH since 1998. Since then we have been expanding our program continuously. In Croatia we are meanwhile organizing tours in Istria, the Kvarner Bay as well as Central and South Dalmatia. Since 2002 tours in Greece and Turkey have also been part of our program.
We look forward to seeing you on our ships!

Duty of Care
During the duration of the trip, you are liable for damage to or loss of bicycles and any equipment entrusted to you. For guided tours, this is only valid if you have separated yourself from the group, have disobeyed instructions from the tour guides, or caused the damage or loss intentionally, through negligence or gross negligence.

The pre-condition for this is the immediate notification of our deficiencies or those of our tour guides, so that we have the opportunity to find a remedy. Tour guides are not authorized to recognize claims. Independent of a reduction in travel price, you can demand compensation due to non-compliance with the travel contract, unless we are not responsible for the defect.

Claims must be made in writing within one month of the contractual end of the trip. The statute of limitation for claims based on the contract expires six months after the contractual end of the trip.
