Enjoy this bike and boat tour on countless islands in crystal clear water with deeply fissured cliffs, picturesque beaches and numerous small bays. That's the Kvarner Bay in the northern Adriatic. Every island is different. Each has its own history.
We spend a week discovering the landscape and people of this unique island world by bike, independently and with the aid of knowledgeable tour guides. On a romantic motor yacht, our floating accommodation, we discover the charm of the Adriatic in our own special way - by e-bike or touring bicycle.

Day 1: Omišalj – Malinska – Krk (12 miles/20 km)
Individual arrival to Omisalj - a quiet port town on the island of Krk. We have enough time to take a refreshing swim in the Adriatic Sea or to enjoy an ice cream before we board the boat. Between 2- 2:30 pm onwards we can move into our cabins on the motor yacht.
Around 3 pm the boat takes off to Malinska on Krk Island. From here we start our first cycle tour that leads us through old villages and luscious vegetation as far as the lively island capital of the same name, which can be explored in the evening on a guided walk through the historic old town.
Overnight in Krk.
Day 2: Islands of Goli Otok and Rab (15 miles/25 km)
From Krk the boat takes us in the morning to Goli Otok (Croatian: the naked island), a tiny island on which the Yugoslavian high security prison “Titos Hawai” was situated from 1949 – 1988. Today the island is uninhabited but may be visited.
After a guided visit the boat sails to Lopar on Rab Island. From here today’s tour leads us through the northern part of the island, which is green and rich in water to Rab town. The fortified capital of the island was built in the Middle Ages on a wedge shaped headland, and marks one of the highlights of the trip. The four famous bell towers are the symbol of the adorned beauty of the town.
On a guided evening walk we can explore the most interesting sights of Rab. Numerous cosy cafes invite us to enjoy a drink in the narrow alleys after dinner.
Overnight at Rab.
Day 3: Island of Pag - Zadar (12 miles/20 km)
After a short cruise we reach island of Pag. In the harsh but delightful landscape of the island we come across many fig and olive trees. Over the centuries the inhabitants have built numerous stone walls for protection against the wind.
Starting from Lun at the northern end of the island we cycle to Novalja, where the boat awaits us for a sail to Zadar, which, for centuries, was the political, cultural and spiritual centre of Dalmatia. Three thousand years of history have left their imprint on the character of this town and there are many things to be admired: the mighty fortified walls with their bastions, the loggia but also the early Romanesque St. Donatus Basilica. In the evening our tour guide takes us on an extensive walk through the lively city centre.
Overnight at Zadar.
Day 4: Islands of Dugi Otok and Molat (26 miles/42 km)
From Sali on Dugi Otok we start our today’s tour in the morning. We cycle along traffic free roads until we reach Božava. On the way we get impressed by terrific views and the deep blue sea and surrounding islands. Afterwards the boat takes off to the flower island of Molat where we spend the night.
Overnight in Molat.
Day 5: Islands of Molat and Lošinj (6 +27 miles/10 + 45 km)
After breakfast a short cycle tour leads us across the island of Molat from the port Molat to Zapuntel. Here the boat awaits us for the cruise to Mali Lošinj where we take another bike ride along the water front and many picturesque bays until we reach the southernmost part of the island and the village of Veli Losinj. The small port town with its numerous fishing boats is dominated by the imposing church of St. Anton.
Overnight in Mali Lošinj.
Day 6: Islands of Cres and Lošinj (28 miles/45 km)
From Mali Lošinj we cycle across the island as far as the artists’ village of Osor. The bay with its crystal clear water is perfect for swimming. On a guided tour through Osor we learn about the Croatian history, its currency and why there are no snakes on Cres and the connection of the artists’ village and the Greek mythology.
Then we cycle further on through pine, fig and laurel trees along the east side of the island and to Martinščica. From here a short cruise takes us to Cres town. If weather conditions are fine, we may stop with the boat for a swim in one of the numerous bays. In the evening a guided walk through the Venetian old is offered by our tour guides.
Overnight at Cres town.
Day 7: Island of Cres - Omišalj (14 miles/23 km)
After breakfast we take our last bike ride up to the village of Predošćica, situated 400 m above sea level. From here we have a wonderful view to the islands of the Kvarner Bay and the impressive Velebit mountains on the mainland. During lunch the boat cruises back to Omišalj where we arrive after a 4 hrs sail. On our way we have a chance to swim again in the Adriatic.
The last evening aboard takes place traditionally and includes the customary dinner and a last get-together in a cosy atmosphere with crew and tour guides.
Overnight in Omišalj.
Day 8: Departure from Omišalj
After breakfast disembarkation until 9 am and individual trip home or extended stay in Croatia.
We reserve the right to make changes to the itinerary, depending on wind and weather conditions or organizational requirements. Sometimes the tour could be conducted in reverse order.

A rich, cultural history and diverse, majestic landscape describes the country of Croatia. Calling their country “Our Beautiful Homeland”, the Croats offer a warm welcome to visitors who want to experience the wonders of Croatia. Flat plains along the Hungarian border, low mountains and highlands near the Adriatic coastline and over 1,000 islands explain why Croatia is one of few nations to have three distinct climate zones.
Diversity continues in the Croatian culture with four cultural circles thriving together: Western, Eastern and Central Europe, and Mediterranean. Each culture retains its unique customs, including lace-making in Lepoglava, bell ringers in the Kasta region and Ojkanje singing in the Dalmatia region. Cuisine varies in the coastal region that favors seafood specialties, olive oil and prosciutto compared to the continental region that favors meat products, freshwater fish and vegetables. Other highlights include Roman Emperor Diocletian's Palace in Split, a Roman amphitheatre in Pula and the city of Dubrovnik, known as the "Pearl of the Adriatic."
Island Hopping by bike and boat has been organized by Radurlaub Zeitreisen GmbH since 1998. Since then we have been expanding our program continuously. In Croatia we are meanwhile organizing tours in Istria, the Kvarner Bay as well as Central and South Dalmatia. Since 2002 tours in Greece and Turkey have also been part of our program.
We look forward to seeing you on our ships!

For guided tours, this is only valid if you have separated yourself from the group, have disobeyed instructions from the tour guides, or caused the damage or loss intentionally, through negligence or gross negligence.

The pre-condition for this is the immediate notification of our deficiencies or those of our tour guides, so that we have the opportunity to find a remedy. Tour guides are not authorized to recognize claims. Independent of a reduction in travel price, you can demand compensation due to non-compliance with the travel contract, unless we are not responsible for the defect.
